Cozy waterfront sunset cottage on Herendeene Lake in Lake Ann, Dock, Dog ok

It was ok. The cottage is very poorly constructed. We did not like that there were big drops from one room to the next, and a handmade moveable step was placed to step on. This was a bit dangerous for us since we are older & I have had a hip replacement. It was also a struggle for our 8 yr old Labrador. I also wish there was a grab handle in the shower for safety. The kitchen cabinets & counter were horrible; extremely cheap and very old. The grounds were nice, but the tons of steps down to the lake were precarious. This rental is not good for an older couple or anyone with any kind of mobility issue. It was very clean, and the mattress was comfortable. But the step situation was dangerous for anyone! The view of the lake was nice; it’s a pretty little lake.

We spent a day at sleeping bear dunes and this location was an easy drive for that. There is no air conditioning and we knew that before we went but it happened to be very hot during the week we were there so that was not very comfortable. Would be much more cozy in a cooler season (though I imagine the lake would be colder too). Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

No A/C!! When booking this place it did not say anything about no A/C. Upon check in, the book mentions to not overuse the A/C so at some point there was A/C. We happened to stay during probably one of the hottest weekends which when you’re going to the beach is ideal but not when you’re staying in a cabin with no air flow. We would not have stayed had we known there was no air. The view is beautiful and location is good for the city and dunes. They were very thorough on making sure you received all your information. Made sure to do a check in to make sure you got in okay.

Terrific cottage on quiet lake - great for families (lake with dock, kayak, canoe, fire pit, hammock, outdoor seating, laundry, well-stocked kitchen, etc) and just 15-20 minutes from everything in the area. No AC but cool at night even on hot days.

View was amazing and house worked good for our weekend. Air did not work but they did have several fan in house to help with heat this last weekend.

No need to go in the boat to fish we caught bigger fish at the dock than in the boat.

Wonderfully nice cabin on Lake Ann, beautiful sunsets, cozy stay with all the amenities of home. Will be returning for sure!!

Very nice, family friendly home. Games, crafts and playset for kids. Beautiful view of lake. Very clean and updated.
