We had a great family getaway here! The hot tub was amazing and the views from the hot tub were perfect. What a beautiful location - quiet, peaceful and a fun space for kids to explore. We had an amazing time trekking out in the woods in the snow.Kitchen was well stocked and the treats, coffee and tea were a nice bonus. My kids enjoyed the extra games as well! Extremely quick responses from the host as well! Thanks for a good time, we are already thinking about coming back in the summer.

The yard was very beautiful! We loved the hot tub and having small cozy fires outside by the brook. We loved the seclusion of the location as well while simultaneously being only about 5-10 minutes from town.Definitely take note when they say be conservative with the water, it can be touchy. We noticed after one shower the water stopped working for a while (assuming it was due to the drought in Vermont and being on well water). If you run any of the sinks too long it starts to spit and sputter as well which can be frustrating if you try to do any dishes. This may be just a one time thing due to the conditions in Vermont, it may work perfectly fine otherwise! :)The inside isn’t the cleanest, overall it was okay but there are a lot of dead bugs in the windows and some cobwebs in the corners. Not a huge issue by any means but just wanted to let future patrons know if that’s a dealbreaker. My biggest complaint is that the beds aren’t very comfortable, we all woke up pretty stiff most mornings. There also wasn’t a coffee machine as advertised in the photos so we bought a temp one for our stay. Overall I’d say that it was an okay stay, there could be some improvements but it was mostly enjoyable aside from some minor inconveniences.

Property pics were good representation. The yard and stream are beautiful. The house was comfortable. Kitchen was good we cooked all our meals there. Beds comfy. House was clean. Windows/ slider could use a bit more cleaning. The owner was very good at responding even with being in a different time zone due to travel. Lots to do in area - lots of history to learn. Would have given a five but we could not enjoy the porch and yard during day due to yellow jackets and wasps. Around the porch. They did best to deal with the yellow jackets when we notified them but the nest was big (was removed) but they did not leave completely by the time we left. Very quiet and peaceful, except There is big truck traffic occasionally and starting early am going to a quarry.

Upon arrival we noticed it was near anything, far far away from civilization in fact. We were greeted by 2 bears digging through the trash in complete darkness. There were no lights on to make our way to the house except a kitchen light inside and oddly the heat on full blast. This place turned out to be a flip reno farm house that hadn’t been cleaned in some time given there were spider webs in several rooms with a couple weeks to months of bugs caught in the web. We tried to communicate this to the owners and there was no communication after the initial mention of the heat. We decided not to stay due to the unclean and unsafe conditions and drive the 6 hours home in the middle of the night.

Beautiful location. House isn't perfect and cleaning could be more detailed. But its a camp in the woods in vermont so its to be expected.

Rustic but not too rustic, great location, excellent hot tub, plenty of blankets, well-appointed kitchen. Would definitely stay again.

The property is great! The creek and yard were perfect for my kids. The house was ok but a few things that need attention. The back sliding door doesn’t lock and is kept shut by a strip of wood at the bottom. I was alone with my kids so not having good locks bothered me. I also wasn’t aware that the water supply was limited because it’s on a well. Todd replied very quickly to any questions I had.

In town for a long weekend and loved the location. The owner was prompt and very helpful as we made a mistake in booking. FYI, The pictures are great but it’s a bit more rustic than they make it seem. Still, it was great to sit outside and hear the brooks flowing. Very quiet street! Housecleaning was a bit lacking though as there were some huge cobwebs in the corners. That was fine for us as we spend our time in a barn anyway.

The vacation rental was perfect. Loved sitting outside on the porch listening the water in the brook, watching birds, seeing deer and the bunnies.
