Cozy Studio Cottage on The Hill, walkably close to everything! The Zoo, Park!!

Clean, very nice host, cute little building. It was a little warm in there with the window unit but other wise it was amazing

This was a gem! So glad I booked this property and would highly recommend to any friends or family.

Our stay at the cottage was pretty short, but it was lovely! The property owners are very nice (including their little mascot) and the cottage itself is cute and functional. It’s in very good condition. I highly recommend staying if you’re looking for a nice property to stay.

Host met us when we arrived. He was very nice. Took the time to show us everything and answer our questions. First VRBO. It was a pleasant experience. Our host John stocked our kitchen with drinks, fresh fruit and coffee pods. Plenty of corner dining spots near by. We would stay again!! Thanks John and Mary for a good stay!

The cottage was excellent and hospitality great. On-street parking was available. Very safe and interesting neighborhood. Close to wonderful Italian restaurants.

The cottage was very clean and romantic. Breakfast was a large arrangements of fresh fruit and jelly cakes. We also had a last minute booking,that these host cleared up all our questions prior to check-in!

Nice cozy cottage. Clean and well maintained. Just enough room for the two of us and our two small dogs.It had everything we needed for the stay. Snacks, fresh fruit, and fresh cut flowers were very nice extras.The hosts were great!

We stayed here for 2 nights to go to the ballgame and it is such a cute space! I didn’t realize it was a B&B type stay in someone’s back yard but it wasn’t bad. The yard is super cute with plants and trees. The inside was clean and stocked with the essentials in the cabinets. We had fresh towels and wash cloths, shampoo, conditioner and men’s and women’s body wash. The only thing we had to buy was stuff for the fridge if you plan to do any cooking or eating in. I read the reviews and someone mentioned the water being either super hot or freezing cold. We turned the shower faucet all the way on to hot and let it run for a minute and adjusted it to where we wanted it. It worked fine. From my understanding it’s a tankless water heater and those can be tricky for people who have never used one. We had 2 issues but neither was the hosts fault! We came on the same weekend as graduation. So parking was horrible! The house is located near several restaurants and it was hard to find a spot to park due to all of the people eating out. Also, it seems that a nearby neighbor has some flashing lights and it flashes through the window above the futon throughout the night. It’s not super bright but if you like a pitch dark room, that may be a problem for some people. It seemed like everything we typed into our gos was 12 minutes away, so that was nice! All in all we enjoyed our stay.

We were in town one night for my Granddaughters Graduation from Washington University.We didn’t really use the kitchen other than to have coffee but it appeared they had everything we would have needed to cook. It was the perfect size for my husband & I. The hosts were gracious & welcoming, her son even helped carry our bags in. They had cold beverages in the fridge, & a lovely fruit bowl for us to snack on. There were also individual packets of oatmeal, a pop tart & a packet of cheese & crackers. So thoughtful for guests on the run! Several Italian restaurants & deli’s within walking distance however We didn’t get to sample any of the Italian restaurants while we were on the Hill, but we heard Mamas on the Hill is some of the best in St Louis. That gives us the perfect excuse to visit “ The Little Cottage on the Hill” again.

Property was as how described, very clean. Communication with host was excellent. Be aware that there are a couple of very popular local restaurants nearby and parking can be challenging at peak times. Not a negative just something to be aware of because having those local restaurants nearby is definitely a plus! You should definitely check them out.

Very nice, clean home. We didn't meet the host, Mary, in person but did meet several friendly family members. So nice to walk a short distance to find excellent Italian restaurants and a wonderful bakery (Missouri Baking Co).

This is a wonderful little place to stay. They had everything we needed. Located by alot of goodies in downtown, would definitely stay again. They also had the comfiest bed i think ive ever laid in :)

This is a cute little house located in a great spot for restaurants and shopping. The parking was an issue beacuse it is a popular tourist area. The host was friendly.

I hope the host is okay. I see she has great reviews. But I got there and the key was gone. I tried reaching out, but no response. VRBO tried also, but they ended up refunding me and we got a last minute hotel. We wasted 3 hrs on phone and waiting, our only night in St Louis.

Great space in a great location. Short walk to multiple restaurants and pubs. Within minutes drive to Forrest park, botanical gardens and Zoo. A little bit longer drive to downtown ballpark area but still a reasonably short drive.Thanks for hosting us!

This property is perfect! From the amazing bathroom, the back patio everything inside. Mary has an exceptional property my pup and I will be back. Also the neighborhood is GREAT. Everything walkable. Such a nice stop over on a very long road trip. Can’t wait to come back!

If you want to stay on the Hill, there is no place better.

I appreciated being greeted by the hosts each day. I appreciate the accommodations that were made for my pet and I. Hygiene and cleaning supplies were available if I needed them. I had plenty of privacy. The neighborhood was quiet and very easy to navigate. Parking was my only complaint, but that had nothing to do with the hosts. It’s just something to be mindful of if you plan on staying in the area. I didn’t realize how popular the area was.

This small cottage is a short drive to Forest Park and walking distance to many Italian restaurants, delis, and bakeries. It is stocked well and clean. The only issue was that we could not get the Wi-Fi on our phones. The owner could not assist and took a long time to respond. Overall, a great location for all activities at Forest Park and great food.

Very walkable to everything in The Hill area!

I rented this cottage as it was so close to St Ambrose Catholic Church for my daughter’s wedding. I dropped off the wedding flowers there, and asked the owners to set the thermostat perfectly for them to stay fresh for the following days event. They honored my wishes and were extremely kind. The newlyweds stayed there the night of their wedding and it was the perfect size and location of the venue LaVerona.

This was a perfect little spot in a perfect little neighborhood. So enjoyed an easy, clean location plopped right in the middle of Italian culture.

We were delighted in this cottage, situated right in the heart of The Hill. Communication with hosts was excellent. We will re-book for future trips!

We felt very welcomed and cozy in the cottage. It was clean and well designed.

Smaller than pictures led me to believe. Was listed with hot tub and fire pit. Neither of those was found on site. No i didn’t speak with the host about it. Had other stuff to do. Location is great Parking is a 5/10 we were gone most of the time so it wasn't a issue for us but could be for someone whos in and out a lot. The expired and opened condiments in the fridge was a surprise. As well as jelly jars filled with OJ and Milk. I know this was done as a courtesy but pretty sure its also illegal to have opened containers

It was a great cozy stay. The cottage is updated. The bed is a little soft and the area rug probably needs to be changed or a vinegar cleaning however , it was a great stay and the owner was very nice.

Cozy little cottage behind the owner’s house. Has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Owners were so friendly and very accommodating. We had coffee, fresh fruit and beverages waiting for us upon arrival. Clean linens and very comfy bed. Perfect location for anything you want to do at The Hill and very close to other attractions in STL.

This is a great location to enjoy all the amenities on The Hill, without having to drive. Parking can be a little issue, but doable. Host was easy to communicate with and provided information as needed.

The cottage was great. We loved the neighborhood, next time we hope to have more time to explore.
