Stayed Jan 1, 2026Casa Abuela was a wonderful place to stay for my famiy and i (4 total). Don't let the humble exterior fool you. The house is truly great. It had everything we needed (full kitchen set up), washer/dryer, comfortable beds and pullout sofa, good wi-fi, heated floors) and is located above a bluff so we had a commanding view of the mountains! My only advice is that being located a few minutes from town and off a dirt road, you may want to arrive before dark. Google Maps is correct, but since the house is in the back of the owner's house, it's better to have a bit of daylight left.

Stayed Dec 26, 2024Warm & cozy stay! We loved our time at the casita. It was very well appointed, clean and updated yet still retained its adobe charm. There are stunning views of Taos from this place, and it is conveniently located to the attractions in the area. The pics/listing online are a bit outdated because there IS a microwave. The two bedrooms have mattresses of varying firmness so choose the one that works best for you.
