There is also beautiful hiking and access to the Appalachian Trail from many places nearby. Lime Rock Park - a classic racetrack - is also approximate. In the Fall & Winter, enjoy coxy fires from the original Ben Franklin wood stove in the red library, and in the downstairs guest room. Skiing is nearby at Mohawk Mountain and Catamount. There are tons of wonderful restaurants, antiquing, and other things to do as you have access to NY, CT, and Massachusetts within a 15 minute drive.
