Cozy oceanfront beach house, only a few minutes from downtown & pet friendly

The check in process was good and the owners very responsive to messages. The kitchen had a cold refrigerator that was able to keep up with ice, and it was fairly well stocked for basic cooking.

I absolutely love that this house is on the beach. Very convenient when traveling with kids. However, the pictures on the listing are not current. The house, the stairs and the deck need work.

We loved the house. Perfect for us. Beachfront. It was exactly what we needed and the rooms were perfect for all of us. Would definitely stay here again. The owners responded quickly with everything, even when we had a little issue with the air conditioning, they got someone out asap. Very quickly. Location was perfect. We love this house. Would highly recommend.

It was amazing! Other review mentioned the house’s imperfections but it was exactly what I would expect for a beach house! It’s clean, it’s has air conditioning, RIGHT ON THE BEACH, huge kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer, enclosed garage. We come here every other year for forced relaxation. We were able to set up our chairs and umbrellas in the AM and go in and out as we wanted! There is a hose on the deck to spray off. NOTE: You must bring your own linens/towels. We used the company the owner recommended and it was at our door when we got there! It’s about 7 minute drive to the pier area where everything is, it is not realistic walking distance. I would 100% stay again. The beach area is also the most “dead area” for perfect relaxation and not an overlap of people set up all over. Owner was quick to respond when I had questions. 10/10

Booked this place for my family and friends beach vacation. After arriving we were pleasantly surprised. The beach house was much larger than it appeared in the photos. The kitchen was great for cooking in every night. The beach is right at your front door. My kids my family and my dog loved this place. Thank you so much. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Access to the beach was perfect!

It's right on the beach, and about the right distance from middle of Surf City and middle of Topsail Beach. The house itself is comfortable, has all the amenities you need. It's from a previous generation, so the wall facing the beach isn't all windows; living room can be a bit dark. But we had a great time alternating between the beach and sitting inside and reading, watching NBA playoffs, and eating and talking. Public access path is just adjacent, and that could get a bit loud, but not a problem for us. Highly recommended.

Forgot to read the entire policy. No sheets and towels were supplied. Linen rental places were all closed and we had to go buy sheets and towels at Walmart. Will read the entire policy next time when renting.

Unfortunately, the interior of the house was in need of significant maintenance. There was visible water damage on the living room walls, hallway, and bathroom. The mold and mildew were particularly noticeable in the porch bedroom and the downstairs bathroom which is accessed via a very narrow spiral staircase. There is a beautiful view from the inside porch, however they have a film on the sliding doors that bubbled and deflects it. The doors themself have mold on them and do not open properly and the other set is screwed shut so it does not open at all. The outside stairs are broken and wobble when you go up and down them. The upstairs bathroom exhaust fans do not work at all. This house is spacious and the location is right on the beach. The back bedrooms were nice, it has a large dining table, a dishwasher and plenty of seating in the living room. We did enjoy our stay, I just wish the property would have been maintained better; that is the reason for a lower review.

Our stay at this home was Great ! Literally right on the sand , no long walk to beach . Big spacious deck, totally gated in for pets/children such a beautiful part of topsail Near restaurants and shopping . This was our first time at a VRBO and the process was great. My communication with Nikki was rest assuring With questions I had with quick responses We will be back ! Loved our vacation

Great home, only down side was that it was pet friendly and the rug on porch and down stairs smelled like pet urine. We appreciate pet friendly, It just might be a good idea to remove rugs and so pets are not tempted. Overall, great home and wonderful host! We would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved this beach house. Perfect location right on the sand. It felt like being at home. We had the best weather. I would definitely enjoy staying here again. Has plenty of room and so convenient being right in the sand not having to haul things back and forth to the beach and can easily take sun breaks for a lunch on the deck. Thank you for being so welcoming to your charming home on the beach.

Our family stayed here in June 2024, the house is clean and has plenty of space. Views from the back deck are incredible and being right on the beach is the number one reason to rent this house. Fully stocked kitchen, air conditioner gets icy cold, plenty of room for two adults, three teenagers and a dog. Communication with the owner was great, they were very attentive and welcoming. The only reason we don’t give it five stars is because the house is definitely showing its age, some doors stick, the paneling needs paint in places, and the back deck needs new decking. That said, it’s easy to forgive everything because of the location and the view, we would absolutely stay here again!
