Cozy Fireside Cottage - Spoolmak Socialhouse

The cottage have more than what we need during our stay. It's on a well maintained drive way, peaceful area, and I highly emphasize that it is very clean! It is exactly as pictured and described. Stayed for two nights and have enjoyed our time here in the winter. Kitchen is fully stocked, cottage is well heated, have potable tap water, fire wood is provided, there's info available about all you can do in the area, comfortable sleeps, and in good location to where we need to go. Communication with hosts are very good, welcoming, willing to help at anytime, and have lots to share about the area. They have seamless process all the way from booking, check-in/out, and on to refund of deposit. Definitely would recommend and would rebook when visiting the area again.. perhaps in the summer as they have designated fire pit and bbq on the patio too!

On our way back from a Jasper canoe trip we were looking for a place to relax. Nordeg has some great nature all around it, nice trails and lots of quiet. The cabin was well outfitted and the hosts were quick to respond to any questions. I have been telling friends to check out this place and I will be returning in my next journey to that part of Alberta.

Beautiful weekend away in the mountains. Cabin was well taken care of and Jodi was easy to communicate with throughout the stay. Would love to come back!

From booking and throughout our stay the experience was so positive. Close to town, lakes, and trails, but just enough off the beaten path to be the full cabin experience. We can’t wait to come back and stay here again.

Lovely cabin, beautiful surroundings, great hosts on site, gave good advice on local hikes, made us feel right at home. Ate by fireside pit every night.

Clean, quaint, and cozy - it was the perfect place for our family of four to stay to explore the surrounding area. We biked, hiked, and fished - all within 10-15 minutes of the cabin. Would definitely visit again!

Spoolmak is a little cottage that was just right for the 4 of us. The kitchen was very well supplied and the beds and couches comfy. The firepit was enjoyed and the firewood included was sufficient for a nice evening around the fire. The placement of the cabins on the property make each feel much more private and the collection of trails out in the meadow were a delightful surprise.
