Stayed Jul 24, 2024My son had a tournament in the northern Detroit area, and rather than stay in a soulless chain hotel we decided to come up early and stay on the lake instead! Corey was great to deal with and the cabin was perfect for us. The firework show here is definitely the sunsets every night. The beach is right across the road, so it was quick and easy to get to from the cabin. It was our first visit to the Port Austin area, and everyone loved the trip. Thanks so much again Corey and fam!!!

Stayed Jul 3, 2024This home is a little gem! It was clean, cozy, and had thoughtful amenities and decor throughout the home. Communication with the property manager was easy and responses were very prompt. But the best part of our stay, and what makes this place truly unique, was the beach!!!! The lake was warm enough where we could stay in the water all day if we wanted to, the bottom of the lake was all sand, and the sunsets were beautiful! We are looking forward to visiting again!

Stayed Sep 1, 2023We loved this house. This was our first time staying here. They provided so much for your stay you almost do not have to bring anything. Just wish it was on the water, but it is a short walk to the beach though. We would probably stay here again.

Stayed Jul 31, 2023The cabin and property totally fit with Corey’s description. Corey was an excellent host, and very responsive to our few questions. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a new, large grill outside. There are lots of welcoming touches throughout the cabin. The cabin is on a small gravel road just off of M25. You can access the beach by walking across the tiny gravel road and down a large staircase. The beach or the top of the staircase is a great place to see the sunset. If you start walking east along the beach, within less than ¼ mile you are in Port Crescent State Park, and at that point and beyond, it is just the lake, the beach and beautiful dunes. If you keep walking another ¾ mile you are at the Port Crescent State Park public beach, with a small shelter and flush toilets. There are lots of hiking paths through the dunes. The water was very clear, and the beach is sandy and clean. This is such a relaxing place. Another added plus, is that most of the neighbors have lived there for years, and were very warm and welcoming. We plan to return again.

Stayed Jul 18, 2022I hesitated for a long time to write this. The number one thing I looked for when booking was “air conditioning” when we checked in it was extremely hot. The thermostat read 78-80 and didn’t work. After multiple attempts I reached the owner. He seemed dumbfounded that the AC wasn’t set up. After much searching and him saying he could be there in a few hours we found the portable AC unit in the garage buried under lots of stuff. There must be an option in the listing to say “ac portable unit” vs Air conditioning because this certainly doesn’t qualify as AC. This “unit” ran the entire week and it maybe got to 76 in the small unit. The place was cute and decorated nicely and clean so that’s a plus. Lots of kitchen supplies. Should also put a warning on the washer as it ruined several shirts from the rusty water. I will for sure ask more questions from now on before I rent a summer place.
