Cozy Cottage Near The Lake & Cedar Point

Cottage was nice . Toilet too close to wall.

The cottage is just as advertised cozy. Quiet except for the occasional train. Close enough to attractions but not too close. The lake is very nice and two short blocks to view. Would highly recommend!

The place was great, cozy and quiet. Loved the way the place was decorated and the quick walk to the small beach to look for beach glass in the morning was a bonus.

Beautiful home very clean stocked with things of all needs ! Lovely neighbors! Back yard has Lakeview walking distance to the lake! Well kept ! Close to grocery stores and restaurants! I will be back definitely Thank you Joe (Host) Absolutely beautiful!

Property was clean and ready for us with all the necessary kitchen tools and ammenities. On property beach was underwhelming to say the least. Other homes brought their dogs onto the small beach and used it as a litter box. Was told about a week before our booking that the beach we should use was a short car ride away. Would have liked to have know that prior to booking. Neighborhood was quiet and close to anything you needed. Only complaint is the beach.

Nice location within a two minute walk of a lakeside park. Close to stores a d restaurants.

My husband and daughter stayed while she was playing in a softball nationals tournament. They said the location was absolutely perfect for the park and Cedar Point. The neighborhood was quiet, perfect location to the water and a lovely home. The pictures and amenities were perfect, including the grill. Thank you Jimmy for your hospitality! If they travel back, this will be the only place they book.

While the general condition of the cottage was OK, the kitchen needs better cleaning. Silverware and pots and pans had to be washed before use. Drawers and cupboard under sink were not clean. Windows were dirty and needed washed.Shower area is slippery and needs a rubber mat to prevent falls.

Perfect location for baseball tournament and cedar point. Little beach area so nice!

The house is cutely decorated and the pictures reflected that. We had cleanliness issues and though Jimmy couldn’t fix the issue, he did respond promptly. We visited in the summer and were bummed that there wasn’t a cleaned-up outside area for us to utilize. There were chairs on a parking pad but they weren’t clean and ready to use. There were broken items in the home that also contributed to a sad feeling- a door to the laundry was completely off of the track and sitting loose in a bedroom. There were no considerate touches for travelers like luggage racks or even hooks, not even in the bathroom for wet towels. We ended up having to put our things on the floor or utilize seating areas to keep items off of the floor.

If your staying to go fish or Cedar Point its a great option.

We enjoyed the neighborhood and the park on the lake. The nearby Nickel Plate beach was wonderful and our dog loved diving into the waves after her toy.

The house is small but no more than needed for a few people. Great community on the shore of Lake Erie. Stayed for July 4th week and it was pleasantly quiet and serene (besides the expected occasional personal fireworks that should be expected). Rye beach is a great little private, clean park with a cozy beach and pier in the midst of the neighborhood. Simplistic and peace house/location. No headaches and much better than a hotel. Would stay again.

Comfortable. If it gets extremely hot, a large fan will help.

This is a cute little home within 15 minutes driving of anything you would like to do in Sandusky and Huron. We visited the Winerie, Cedar Point, and Lake Erie Adventure Company for kayaking. The cottage was a comfortable place to regroup and rest between excursions. I recommend this property to small groups, we had a great time.
