Cozy Cottage, 1 minute walk to Beach

Super cute pet friendly accommodations very close to the very nice dog friendly beach. The rental, linens and supplies were clean and comfortable. We loved the fenced in yard and outdoor dining table. Maryellen is a thoughtful and friendly host who is easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!

This place was clean and so close to the beautiful beach! The hosts were very helpful and friendly and there were no issues. We really appreciated the beach chairs and umbrellas. It was quiet but still very close to Pier 60. Would love to come back and stay on this property!

Great location. Easy communication with the owner/manager. At the time of booking I didn't know that this property has two units and the second one is larger, which would have better suited my family of four.

The perfect little beach bungalow to escape to paradise for a week - Mary Helen is wonderful to work with and her home was clean and perfect and just a short walk to a beautiful, uncrowded beach.

We flew into Clearwater to stay at this property and enjoy the white sand beaches of Clearwater. Much to our surprise this home was very unclean. Unreasonable amount of mildew in the showers, to the point of being unsanitary. There was hair on the bed. There was rust and food stains in and on the refrigerator, stains on the ceiling at the vents, dirt spots on the walls, etc. It was just flat out dirty. Very dirty. In addition, it had a very strong mildew or mold smell. It was in very bad condition when we arrived. My wife and I refused to stay there. Within 5 minutes of arriving, we knew that we were unwilling to sleep in that place. We would have slept in our rental car if necessary. We immediately contacted the owner. Much to her credit she owned the problem and contacted VRBO to get us a refund. We were able to find a nearby hotel within 30 minutes. We had a refund the next day minus the VRBO fees and local taxes. So, we were shorted approximately $300 and received approximately $900 in refund from VRBO. So, the owner/host handled it mostly correct. She didn't try to argue or make it difficult she was very apologetic and seemed to be genuinely unaware of the condition of the rental. She should have taken the $300 loss rather than us, but I take it as a lesson learned and a small price to pay to sleep somewhere that you are confident is clean and sanitary. Forewarned is forearmed.

From the minute that we got to the Sandpiper we knew we had made the right choice! We had been debating on staying in one of the hotels closer to town and I’m so glad we didn’t. The Sand Piper is in the perfect location, it was so quiet and peaceful and just a brief walk to the beach. The beach was absolutely beautiful and also peaceful! It was really nice to have the bikes to ride to town, and all the beach toys for our son. The property was also well taken care of, and very comfortable! We will definitely be coming back! My husband and I rented this home for us to move my daughter down to St. Petersburg. We thought we would get to know the area by staying in Clearwater. The location was perfect for walking distance to the beach into the stores into the restaurants. Mary Helen was excellent to work with and took care of any question that I had. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved the location and the very short walk to the beach. Will definitely return!
