Cozy Bear Paw Mountain Retreat

We enjoyed how family friendly this cabin was. There was plenty of space for the kids and lots of toys/games for them to do. The views were nice and the area was beautiful. The host was easy to contact and went out of his way to return something left behind. Definitely would recommend.

It's a beautiful property with a lake view in the balcony.

The cabin has more privacy than the other cabins in the area (more secluded) and you can overlook the lake at a distance. If you have Verizon you might have some cell service all others there’s really no cell service in that area. Really nice cabin; well worth your money!

Our stay was amazing! This home has beautiful mountain and lake views! Sunrise and sunset were stunning. Anything we needed to cook with was available. Host was very responsive and easy to communicate with! Our family was able to make day trips to Helen, Eljjah, Blue Ridge, Delhonga, and snowtubing in Dillard. Some of my group went to the local casino and said it was spectacular. Everywhere was a bit of a drive. Go to the dam overlook (gorgeous…NOT crowded…beautiful for pics…we had a wedding proposal there!) and very close! We are Florida flatland drivers and were a bit nervous about the mountain terrain (the roads to the cabin are very narrow and one very steep climb) so most of us tried to be in the house before dark! My group played pool and card games everynight! So fun!! Highly recommend.

Very private setting. Peaceful and comfortable. Six adults and three children had plenty of room.

Bruce was great. The house had everything we needed. There was plenty of room and the kitchen had all we needed for our Thanksgiving dinner we had. The view was gorgeous. If we ever go back to NC we will definitely stay here again.

Celebrated the year of us all turning 60, had dinner and played games in the evenings with all 6 of us, sleeps a good amount of people. Great time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 4 nights at Bear Paw. There was plenty for our grandsons to do with video games and a pool table in the cabin and a basketball goal at the entrance to Bear Paw. The kids also went mining for gems in Murphy.

Overall, it was a great property. I went down there with 3 friends in a ford pickup towing a 20' trailer with our motorcycles in it. That was about as long a vehicle as i would take in there and i am a professional driver. It did fit and we were able to get the trailer in the driveway but it was tight. Aside from that, the stay was excellent. It's a very nice house with sufficient amenities. I will strongly suggest that you go food shopping on your way to the house since the closest store is 20 mins away and the closest Walmart is 35-40 mins. All in all, i would rent this property again.

House has plenty of room. Beds are comfortable and the neighborhood pool and clubhouse area is a ton of fun.

Great location with lots of activities available.
