Cozy Bay Cottage private yard blocks from beach!

Overall a pretty good stay. Fairly clean. Dining table was great for cards and games. Yard was great for catch (except i stepped in dog poop). Location close to quiet beach. Loved that. Neighborhood quiet. Good for taking walks. Kitchen equipped with cooking needs. Icemaker was a bonus. Negatives/cons - Master bed mattress was HORRIBLE; sunk to middle of bed. Poop in yard. Host didnt return 3 requests to measure doorway to bathroom for my wheelchair bound wife. She was unable to get in bathroom. We had to take door off! Very disappointed. I told him how important it was to get those measurements but we made it work. Driveway holds 1 car not 2. Gas grill had 2 empty tanks so we couldn't grill out the burgers we bought. There's a lot of LACK OF ATTENTION TO DETAIL in this property in preparation for guests but we still enjoyed our time as our reunion of friends kept eachother positive and laughing.

Be honest property was good no problem at all just need to improve on hambient of smell I don't know where come front is like humidity or something else other than that was really good!

The property owner didn't start messaging me back until 2 weeks before check in, but after that it was good. The baseboards were disgusting, the bath mat in the bathroom was stained, there was visible patches for on the walls, and the beds were completely sunken in at the middle.

Great place and easy walk to the beach, nice quiet neighborhood. Property was spacious and had plenty of room. Loved having a washer and dryer. Beach wagon and towels was an added bonus to take over to the beach.

Great location, short walk to beach, near many attractions, quiet neighborhood, nice enclosed back yard. Very usable kitchen and good eating space. Lots of bedroom space and places to spread out. Great for families. Secure. Great washer, dryer, appliances. Would stay again.

PROS: The house served our purpose and was conveniently located so we could visit with our son (in from overseas) and do some sight seeing. CONS: The beds need new mattresses/box springs and the bedroom door handles are coming off the doors.

Cute place that was close to everything we needed!

The cottage is really nice. However it is in need of repairs. Vents were filthy and the upkeep of the furniture, baseboards, bc bathroom caulking unpainted wall patches leaves a shoddy impression. The house had some issues with the kitchen not well cleaned. Owner offered to clean but he did not respond to our initial text until several hours later each time we communicated. We cleaned it to our standards. I sent 9 photos as he requested but it was left unanswered. It is very cozy and the beds are very comfortable. If it was all fixed, and up to the pictures posted, I would recommend this property as lovely.

The house was great! We were on a family trip and also took our two dogs. The house was clean and had what we needed. The dogs enjoyed their stay as well.

The only thing I would say about the house is for the cleaners to pull things out and clean! Because there was water bottles behind dressers! And we didn’t have wash rags in one of the rooms no fault to the owners but the cleaners need to tighten up but over all besides Tht the house was amazing

Very clean cottage, fresh linens and comfortableì bed, had a good sleep. Master bedroom Shower was Wonderful. Kitchen had a drip coffee maker WITH decaf Only! which I overlooked when I was wóas booking. Next time I boot anywhete, Pls make a note of it e o

The property was wonderful, clean, and very comfortable for our family of four adults . Fully stocked kitchen. Also, the beach wagon, towels and umbrella made our visit to the beach much more comfortable. We stayed for five nights. Great location with easy access to the not crowded beach, Plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby and in a safe friendly neighborhood. Our host Richard was very responsive and accommodating to our needs. The check-in and check out process was very simple. We would definitely come back here again...

Beautiful home! Spacious and very clean! Short walk to the beach! And very close to Virginia Beach board walk! Highly recommend for all!

My family and I had a fantastic stay at this cozy like little beach house! We had a 5 year old and 2 year old who were thrilled to see the beach wagon and inflatables. All the games were such a great addition to our stay! We enjoyed the rooms very much and the fenced in back yard was a must with young kids. The walk to the beach is pretty short, but we drove to the boardwalk where the beach was much prettier. It was about a 30 min drive. Truly, the only complaint my family and I have is the bed in the master bedroom was incredibly squeaky and loud. Just a simple toss or turn and the noises are heard out in the living room. My husband ended up sleeping in there alone because I'm a light sleeper. I took one of the beds in the room with my kids. We slept well when we did it this way. So it all worked out

Great location. We were able to walk to the beach and chill at home. Would start again.

We showed up and found a clean and cool spot to stay the night. The beach access is only a 5 minute walk to the bay. This was spectacular! We were also only 1 mile from Jessie's Taquaria which is thr Mexican food in Norfolk. Overall this property checked all our boxes.

Clean and up-to-date home. Close to the beach. Convenient and comfortable. Would rent again.

The house was so cute and well taken care of. Plenty of space for a larger group and very close to the beach. I would definitely recommend this house and stay again! Richard was so helpful and communicative. Overall great experience!

It was just one night stay, but we enjoyed it. A huge plus for all the board games for kids.

Nicely appointed. Super close to beach. Has coffee maker but no supplies, so be sure to bring filters, coffee, and cream/sugar. Good communication with owner when we had questions.
