Stayed Oct 10, 2025The property is tucked away in a nice little neighborhood, but minutes from Down Dawsonville. The A Frame Cottage feel is so unique, comfy and there was plenty of room for my husband and I. The view is so serene looking onto the Lake Lanier. It was everything we were looking for celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary. But it has enough room for a little lager family if needed. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to be comfortable. The bed in the master bedroom slept perfect for us. We would definitely stay again. The communication with the property manager was great. Easy check-in and check-out. We have ready recommended to our friends and family.

Stayed Sep 16, 2025My family loved the whole experience. We had the comfort of home with a wonderful lake view in a beautiful setting and easy access to anything we needed for our little getaway. I ordered groceries ahead of time to be picked up upon our arrival which is only 8 minutes away. This saved me from spending an hour at the store. I wanted to spend every spare minute enjoying the gorgeous lake.

Stayed Aug 21, 2025Comfortable and cozy cabin on the lake with a view to live for! Cabin has everything to feel at home and that you would need for a comfortable getaway. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and appliances that you need , beds are comfy, clean bathrooms, and nice places to sit and enjoy time with your family. Steep hike down to the dock, so be prepared, but once you’re there very relaxing out on the party deck and the swing.

Stayed Jul 25, 2025Very cute A Frame house next to some woods. We even saw a doe and her baby down by the lake in the early mornings. When we first arrived the outside decks had spider webs on them, but the inside of the house was clean. Some of the main room furniture needs to be replaced, but it was comfortable, and the TVs were large. I can say the house really grow on us each day we were there, and we enjoyed our stay. The house was well stocked with essentials like dishes, glasses, lots of extra towels, TP, paper towels, etc. The view down to the lake from the back deck was outstanding and the sunsets were beautiful. The house was clean and easily slept 6. I will say the stairwells up to the loft and down to the master were narrow and steep. Not good for older people (my 80 yr old in-laws), but the queen bedroom was on the main floor, so that wasn’t a problem for us. The temperatures were in the mid to upper 90s the weekend of our stay and although the main living area of the house stayed nice and cool it did struggle to cool some rooms especially the loft which was warm. As mentioned in other reviews the walk up and down to the dock and water was difficult, but doable for the younger crowd. Overall we had a good time just hanging out each day. The house was worth the money in my opinion. Again the only real complaint was that we had to sweep off the decks the first day we arrived and a little bit every morning. The house is near the woods, so I guess that’s expected.

Stayed Jul 17, 2025Great lake property with stunning views. The screened in downstairs patio was an amazing place to hang and relax while not on the water. The cove is an excellent place to swim, just far enough off the main channel to avoid all heavy boat traffic. Kitchen is small, but definitely serviceable. Has everything you need. The hill to the lake was a challenge for my 70 year old mother, as well as the stairs to the lower floor. But she managed and had a great time. Overall, this is an excellent house with everything as advertised. Owners were very responsive, check in and out was super easy.

Stayed Apr 26, 2025The property is at the end of a very quiet, hilly winding road-3 miles from Publix and lots of shopping-but looks and feels like being in the Adirondacks! As other reviews have mentioned, the steps leading to the upper level bedroom and the lower level master suit (which also housed the washer and dryer) are on the steep side, but we almost 80 year olds managed fine. The path down to the dock can be quite slippery as much of the steep trail is covered with slippery pine needles —it’s doable, but may not be easy for those unsteady on their feet. That said, it was a delightful place-all the comforts of home. The only minus I found was that while there were tons of fluffy towels, there weren’t any washcloths in evidence. All in all—I’d certainly rent it again! Also, the property manager was top notch—responded to texts quickly—very professional and, pleasant.

Stayed Apr 14, 2025My son and booked this charming home so we could visit with friends and family while still having our own place to go to at the end of the day. Before booking I had questions and the host was kind and responsive. The same during my booking. She even kindly allowed us to check in early by simply giving her a heads up. It’s was very clean and cute and quaint! The view was breathtaking from both the upper and lower level! There was some normal wear and tear on the carpet and furniture which is to be expected with a rental but they did such a a wonderful job staging it was easily over looked. My one and only personal request would be curtains in the master. While the views are breathtaking, there are mornings I just wanted to sleep in and that morning sun was fighting me through those great big ole windows lol Other than that we would 100% book again

Stayed Mar 23, 2025For us, the house was perfect for a get-away. It was clean, well stocked and the location was perfect. A quiet neighborhood but not too far from town. Much more space than we anticipated, as it was very well laid out.The boat dock was an amazing place to relax and enjoy the view of the lake; however, it is quite the climb down and back up to the house. If there are family members who can't do a moderately strenuous hike, it's not for them. We enjoyed it this year tremendously though, and will consider it again for next year's chasing waterfalls trip.

Stayed Mar 12, 2025We all enjoyed the cabin and having access to kayaks. The hill to the lake was steep and not good for folks unsteady on their feet but was clearly communicated in the description of the property. The cabin was clean and the views gorgeous. The host is responsive and easy to work with. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed Nov 9, 2024Pros: Great Location! Right on the Lake with a large dock for chilling right on the water. 3 kayaks and a SUP. Kayaked one afternoon and it was perfect. No bugs (November), water still warm, lovely shoreline. Pictures true to house. Enjoyed outdoor dining area that is attached to main level. So easy for less mobile family to enjoy the lake vie. Like going to grandmas house. Lots of dishes, games etc. Cons: Basic cleaning is done well (toilets, floors…) a thorough cleaning of some furniture, windowsills, baseboards, ledges needs to be done. Also an unpleasant odor in some areas of the house

Stayed Oct 24, 2024We really enjoyed the property. Description was great. Loved the A frame style with plenty of space for everyone. The views were amazing and we even caught a pic of a rainbow over the lake from the dock! Loved the access to the lake and relaxing on the dock. The firepit at night was just perfect! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Stayed Oct 18, 2024The views from the deck and even from inside the living room are picturesque. Very quiet and peaceful. There are neighbors, but they dissappear once inside. It was fun watching the deer roam around the property. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips. The stairs to loft and lower level are steep and narrow, which should be obvious given the architecture, but is something some guests may want to keep in mind. My wife and I had no trouble navigating, so is not a negative but more of a psa. That said, the living room, full bath (shower), and kitchen are on the main level, so a couple could avoid the stairs altogether. Place was clean and had everything available that was in the listing. Owners responded quickly to questions and were helpful.

Stayed Aug 13, 2024We rented it for 12 days. For our mix of adults and children it really worked best for six rather than for 7. The upstairs loft has a double and a twin bed, but no door. In our case, we had teenage boys and girls, and we could not accommodate all seven people at this house. if you have small children or children that are all the same sex it probably works OK.for 7. The dock on the lake was fine. It has room for one boat inside the slip. It has plenty of room for lounging and an upper deck that is very nice. Also, about halfway down to the dock, there is a fire pit with chairs around it that is very nice. The only incident we had was that the washer quit working on the second day. The owner responded very quickly, but we did not have someone to repair it for several days. Fortunately, we have relatives that were nearby and we went to use their washer. Overall, we enjoyed the house for the stay. The interior living room had ample seating for us to play games and enjoy the evening. The only other thing I would say is that the walk to the lake is fairly steep and it’s fine for people that are young or do not have any walking problems, but if you have people that are have difficulty walking, then I think it would be a problem. The kitchen is small but has ample room for cooking. There’s also an outdoor grill and a nice deck on the back Overall, we would recommend this house to stay.

Stayed Aug 8, 2024My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights. This house is a favorite of ours by far!! The price is extremely reasonable for everything you get by staying there. They give you plenty of supplies to help you with your stay compared to other VRBO homes we’ve stayed in. The area/neighborhood is super quiet and peaceful. The bedrooms and beds are comfortable. The WiFi is great especially compared to other VRBO lake homes we’ve stayed at before, I could access it all the way down at the lake! Also they are very responsive to any messages you send, I think most of mine were answered within an hour or so. Another perk is that you get the feel of being away from the city but are within short driving distance to stores and attractions. The only cons are that the upper loft bedroom area is much warmer than the rest of the house (summer time) but neither of us slept up there, the stairs down to the master bedroom in the “basement” are very steep and the walk down to the lake isn’t for anyone who is unsteady on their feet or has any difficulties walking; and there is no other way to get down there. If you can make the walk it is a really great workout going up and down several times a day! The cons I listed were not things that bothered us but might some. This house is one we would highly recommend and definitely one we would stay at again!

Stayed Jul 14, 2024This was exactly the place we were looking for in North Georgia. Lots for great hiking trails near by, and not a far drive from the Lake Lanier water park. The lake access at the property was perfect, and the kayaks and everything at the dock were kept in good condition. The house itself was exactly as described, really, really enjoyed our stay.
