Countryside gem right by the lake!

We stay here every year to get away from the hustle and bustle. It’s a great place the whole family to unwind. No neighbors and just peace a quiet.

We very much enjoyed our stay. we were visiting friends nearby and everything was perfect for our needs. Comfortable, quiet, and in the middle of a cornfield. The host was super easy to communicate with and let us check in early. Highly recomend.

Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. I celebrated my 40th with my sisters and a couple close friends and it was the perfect size for our needs. Wish we would’ve booked a longer stay, definitely next time!

Fantastic home! Comfy beds and lots of amenities/well stocked kitchen

One of the best things is the yard. We played wiffleball and frisbee with lots of room to spare. The patio is protected from the westerly breeze and if you are looking for the breeze just pull a chair out 15 feet and enjoy the breeze and the fabulous view of the lake. A great place to relax and also a short distance to family activities if you are not into biking or kayaking, fishing and swimming.

My brother and I were very pleased with our stay. The property was well kept and beautiful inside and outside. The owners have added lovely thoughtful touches and were amazing to work with!

Always a relaxing event to stay at whispering pines. This country home is set up to give visitors a clean, comfortable cozy stay. Loved the local cafes and restaurants.

We were here for wedding reception for son of college friend. The house is cozy, clean, near lake, nice kitchen, living room with fireplace & couches and the bed was comfortable. VERY satisfied.

We enjoyed our stay at this cute farmhouse, which reminded me of our childhood living in northern Wisconsin. The house was clean, and had everything we needed for this get together. We watched deer, visited local wineries, played games, made a trip to Stillwater, and still had down time to talk and catch up on each other's lives.

We enjoyed our stay over the weekend. The host (Brenda) was very sweet and showed us around. This house is very kid friendly with lots of games and puzzles. We will definitely be coming back to rent the little yellow house.

Everything was very clean. The extra touches throuout the house were wonderful. Very good location .

This place has pretty much everything's you need for a little get away. Easy access to a lake for kayaking and a little park nearby. It’s 20 minutes to St Croix falls if you want to do some hiking. Comfortable beds with plenty of blankets and fans in each room. Highly recommend!

We love staying at the “little yellow house” when we come to Balsam Lake for an annual family reunion. The accommodations are perfect for our needs and the personal, homey touches are greatly appreciated.

This is a beautiful home to rent while staying in the balsam Lake area. My friends and I love this home. We each have our own space for sleeping and the accommodations are spotless. The kitchen area is well stocked with what you would need to prepare meals and again it is spacious for groups of people. The outside yard is beautiful with an Eagles nest in the front Evergreen tree up top. We were able to watch the Eagles flying in and out and then observing us as we’re standing on the sidewalk looking up. Half moon lake is a beautiful small leg. There’s easy access to either unload a boat or take your toys down to the lake. I highly recommend this property if you want a relaxing comfortable stay while you are enjoying time off.
