We enjoyed the front and back porches - seeing the sun rising over the trees from the back and the sunset from the front. Everything was provided that we needed to have a wonderful stay. Chris was a great host and very communicative. We will definitely plan to stay there again.

This was a perfect place to stay for a long weekend between work trips. It actually would be great to stay for a longer time. The setting was lovely, the house was well stocked, check in/out was easy. We had easy access to new river gorge national park.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The property was very private and serene but also had quick access to the Interstate and an easy drive to Lewisburg for the fair and of course Walmart (lol), restaurants, entertainment, and New River Gorge for all our outdoor activities. From lazy mornings on the porch to s'mores around the campfire we couldn't have asked for more! It truly was almost heaven! We'll be back for sure

Comfortable, cozy, and welcoming. Of course, peaceful in a “retreat” in the mountains. We had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

Me and my small Ohana, we have been starting new traditions last year we went to the Keys. This year we decided to go to West Virginia. It took us some time to pick a place. When we came across this house we knew this was perfect for us. After booking our reservation. The host Chris, reached out quickly and welcomed us to her home and asked if we needed anything and assured us that the house was ready for us. We were given some simple instructions for when we arrived. The house was as awesome and perfect as its photos. The night we arrived we were greeted by deers, raccoons and rabbits, that just tells me the place had welcoming and peaceful soul. Chris was an awesome host always making sure we had everything we needed while we were their. Our stay was just what we needed. The house had everything, all we had to do was bring our food and clothes. We had an awesome Thanksgiving Dinner. We did some roaming around we went to New River Gorge Bridge, Grandview Overlook, and Turkey Spur Lookout. We will be back to do more adventuring.

My 91 yo father was born and raised near where this house is located and he wanted to “go back home” for a day or so. I booked this house because it was one level with just a few stairs so my father could get around easily. Chris communicated very well with me trying to get everything just right for dad. Unfortunately at the last minute dad was not feeling well and decided he didn’t want to go. However using dad as a reference the front and back steps were wide and deep with a nice handrail on them. The living room and kitchen were wide open with lots of room to move around and easy access. The back bedroom was wonderful, room to move around with a large tv in the room (Dad loves to watch tv in the evenings) and a walk in shower. I am sorry Dad didn’t feel well this time Chris, but I guess that means we will have to come back!

Porch swing. Hammocks. Glider. Wrap around porch with comfort everywhere. Open the screen doors and the cross breeze is so soothing. Sunset views. Porch black nights so quiet, stay skies easily viable from anywhere on the property. Any supply you need in the kitchen. Firm plush king bed. Big plus is this is a great central location in Eastern West Virginia.

We stayed 4 nights, exploring the local sights, mostly over by the New River Gorge. The house had everything we needed. Would have liked to use the laundry, we were traveling on to Bristol. The property is on a well and thelaundry use wasnt an option.
