Stayed Jan 29, 2026Team at the villas were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The property has breathtaking views of the volcanoes and lake and city center is a 3-4 USD ride to town. Highly recommend this property.

Stayed Nov 6, 2025Welcoming, professional, very safe, clean, beautiful. The only downfall is being a little further away from the town center, but that can also be a good thing. They helped us with getting a taxi, ordering food, ordering a transport, whatever. Large yard area, security guard at night.

Stayed Apr 7, 2025Villas Jucanya is a very well-maintained property overall. They communicate very well throughout the whole process and are very forthcoming with all of the information regarding our stay. The property is the perfect combination of vacation rental and hotel. Their onsite personnel (Esdras/Elvia) were amazing. Made themselves available, super polite and professional, and even gave us a tour of one of the empty Villas. The grounds are well-kept, calm and secure. My wife and I enjoyed seeing our kids (10, 6, and 5) playing outside. Great place for families. Far enough from the hustle/bustle of Pana while still being close enough to enjoy Pana and Lake Atitlan. I recommend the Chalet as you have access to a jacuzzi (for a small fee) after a full day of visiting the lakeside towns.

Stayed Jan 27, 2025The other reviews that described this house as a Lake Michigan style lake house were right on. It's not fancy but it's clean and comfortable and great for a relaxed group trip with friends or family. The location is a little far to walk but we enjoyed the peace and quiet and the staff were so helpful about arranging tuks tuks into town. In fact, they were really sweet and helpful in general. The tour they set up to San Juan was great, highly recommend! We really enjoyed our time here and would return in the future. One note, they must have had a bad experience with destructive or dishonest guests in the past, because they do count all the plates, utensils, etc., when you check out. No big deal, just plan for an extra 15 minutes or so when you're getting ready to leave.

Stayed Dec 30, 2023The house was advertised for 10 people, it is big enough to fit 10, even more, however they charged us more per person after guest #7, which I did not understand. Also, when I first booked it they rejected it saying that the nightly rate was incorrect on Vrbo, that because it was New Year’s it was a different rate. Anyhow, the house is very nice and the location is great. The staff there and the entire process of booking it, etc not so much.

Stayed Nov 19, 2022The house is simple but very nice and you have everything you need. It has a terrrace with some views to the sea and faces also the garden towards the other more modern (but smaller) villas. It is in walking distance to Panajachel center but quiet. There are private boats leaving directly in front of the villa.

Stayed Nov 20, 2018By American standards, the villa was only medium, but is a virtual luxury villa compared to most of Guatemala. It was tasteful, clean and simple with all American amenities. Tha staff made our stay very easy. They arranged many things for us, including cooks on Thanksgiving, getting our clothes washed and a day boat trip on Lake Atitlan. Driving in this part of Guatemala is difficult, but we made it there and back without incident. Our thanks go to Aaron, the manager.

Stayed Jan 14, 2018This was the perfect location for our family vacation! Aaron and his staff made us feel at home right away. The house was outfitted with everything we needed, One trip to the market and we were cooking up a storm! First towels and cleaning service every day made us feel like we were staying in a fancy hotel, but with all the comforts of home. Our daughter had a birthday while we were here, and Aaron arranged for a piñata to be set up while we were out on the town. We came back to a beautiful scene in the yard, ready for our daughter and her little cousins to enjoy. Every day we made a trip into town which was both scenic and pleasurable by tuk tuk. The service at Casa Jucanya is incredible, thank you Aaron! We certainly felt like whatever we needed was supplied, questions we had were answered, and we were treated with impeccable hospitality. We will most definitely be back, and we have already recommended this fabulous spot to all our friends!
