Country House - Perfect for family get togethers

Booked this property for a family stay whilst attending a family wedding near by. This is a most fantastic house and the garden is magnificent. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The garden is a delight, even better than the pictures . Was disappointed with the pricing policy which indicated the property is for 10 ( 5 double bedrooms) but is priced on 5 adults so anything above this incurs an additional person charge. This is not clear in the description. Resident cats an interesting addition, holidaying with someone else’s pets is novel. Overall a fantastic property, well worth a stay.

The house was gorgeous, with a fantastic garden. The location was ideal, we decided to use the bus into Bath as we thought that would be a lot easier than driving and parking. The bus was regular and took us straight into the centre. The one feature that I think could have been improved was some empty drawers, space in wardrobes etc to put our clothes in. Overall thank you, we had a lovely weekend.

We were all delighted to have the opportunity to stay in the beautiful Spa House for a weekend in May. We had all come from the US and West Africa to attend a family wedding nearby, and the house gave us an excellent place to call home in between the festivities. We were welcomed very warmly by Felicity and found the spacious and luxurious accommodation well beyond our expectations. For us, a true ‘English experience’ to complement the very happy wedding celebrations. The garden was also gorgeous and wonderful to work off some jetlag when we arrived. We booked The Spa House as a base for our daughter's wedding in Calne. The house was perfect for the bridal party, the room outside the kitchen made a fantastic space for the hairdresser. Felicity was very welcoming and helpful. Are certainly hoping to make a return visit when with a bit of luck it won't snow. Steve and Claire, Peterborough

We had such a fantastic stay at the Spa House. The owners went out for their way to make our stay very special over Christmas and were incredibly helpful in the lead up to and during our stay. The house was immaculate yet comfortable and beautifully decorated. It was the perfect setting for a fantastic family Christmas.

Spa house delivered everything we could of wanted for a family get together and more. The huge gardens were perfect for the children to play in, with so much for them to do they were entertained for hours. The house itself is beautiful, it has so much space (and two staircases!), plenty of room for our party of eleven. We were made to feel very welcome and look forward to visiting spa house again in the future ???

Spa House was truly amazing with traditional decor yet hi tech facilities. The large gardens were well kept with numerous seating areas and facilities for children. The local pub / restuarant (The Northey Arms) is no more than a 10 minute walk, and serves excellent beers, wine and food. Another bonus, not previously mentioned is the fact that buses run from the Northey Arms into Bath every 30 minutes, in other words park and ride without the park. We would definitely stay at Spa House again.

Mark and Felicity could not have been more accommodating. They were in contact straight away and made sure we had everything we needed. We were a large group of ladies who had a fantastic hen weekend at this house. Everyone agreed they would love to come back one day! The garden was beautiful and despite the rain we still managed to make the best of it, there are lots of garden games available. The beds were really comfortable and some people slept longer than they had done in years! The house in general has lots of character and is very tastefully decorated. We loved our group dinners in the dining room with the little snug at the end and the kitchen is very well equipped. The Sonos sound system throughout the ground floor worked really well too. We didn't go into the nearby village but went for a short 5-10min walk to the local pub The Northey Arms and had a lovely afternoon, the surrounding area is very pretty. We were all genuinely sad to leave, particularly sad to say goodbye to the friendly cats! If you want a beautiful house & garden along with great communication from the hosts, look no further.
