Stayed Aug 10, 2025Nice house in a good location. In the countryside but the local shops and boulangerie are a modest walk away. Douarnenez itself is an interesting town, not chi chi like Benodet, more authentic. Good restaurants and cultural events too.

Stayed Jul 19, 2025A fantastic well equipped house in a good location. Everything in the house is as described and is to a high standard. Supermarket and bakery a 10-15 minute walk and Douarnenez is easily accessible on foot or car as you prefer. Lots to explore locally too. Thanks to hosts for cider and cake on arrival!

Stayed Jun 22, 2024Great house, excellent value for money. The owners were friendly and helpful. On the edge of town, so a pleasant walk into Douarnenez, but also countryside walks on the doorstep.

Stayed Jul 7, 2018Property was all that was promised. The owners were charming and the house was clean and well kitted out. It is walking distance from a supermarket but down hill. Douarnenez is a very pleasant town and there are lots of places to visit within 45mins to one hour away. Quimper, Brest, Locranon and Concarneau to name a few. If you would like a recommended restaurant try the Oasis at Plomodiern. You can sit outside for supersonic facing the sea and the food is good.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969THE BEST OF ALL WERE THE LANDLORDS Our flight was late, but our landlords waited for us with a huge bowl of langoustines, excellent wine, a kouingn-amann, a traditional cake of Brittany and crêpes for the breakfast. What a welcome! They also helped us where to go and what to see: the menhirs, Pointe du Raz, Penn Hir, Atlantic Wall with its wartime bunkers, the medieval village of Locronan... The house itself is ideal: near to town center, but very tranquil. Real countryside! But the warmest memory of all are our most kind landlord and landlady.
