Stayed Apr 6, 2026The cottage was as described in the listing which meant no unpleasant surprises. If anything it undersold itself with all that we needed for a great week. The kitchen was well equipped and the basics of oil, salt etc were available. It was clean and very well presented (as per the photos).

Stayed Jun 9, 2025A delightful and comfortable place to stay, with everything one needs. The cottage was close to the village and shops, close to the train station, and with cafe and pub serving good food nearby. It was somewhere we will try to return to in the future.

Stayed Apr 9, 2025A quaint small cosy cottage with a great garden room with views to open countryside to the rear. The host was very generous having left a welcome pack of essential groceries, wine and a beautiful welcome note. However, the property is in need of some urgent refurbishment, particularly the kitchen area and shower.

Stayed Sep 16, 2023Perfect location to visit beautiful beaches and do the many lovely walks in East Lothian. Cottage was very homely with an stunning view over fields from the back of the cottage. It was well equipped and located close enough to walk to the local shop and pub. Host Stephanie was very good to communicate with and provided a wealth of information re cottage, eating, beaches, walks, public transport and leaflets for all appliances in a folder. Would definately recommend a stay in here and a big thank you to Stephanie for hosting us!

Stayed Aug 20, 2023Very good location for a relaxing time and plenty walks locally. Lovely old village, with great little book shop; interesting double decker bus Chinese take away/ restaurant. Great garden nursery and tea room nearby. Lots to do further afield at North Berwick and Castles.. Close to Edinburgh if you like to go into the city The sun room is a lovely space to relax .. take a book and snuggle in with a wee glass of wine! The cottage is very well equipped. Very comfy beds.. pillows were super! .. and also made a rhubarb crumble with the beautiful red rhubarb from the garden! Would really have liked to spend a few more days there! Only negative thing which is being picky.. TV difficult to navigate and no DVD player
