Stayed Mar 24, 2026Spectacular location just outside Coromandel town. The house was very well equipped and comfortable. We spent 6 nights including being holed up during a big storm for about 36 hours. It was very cosy and great to watch the weather. As others have mentioned the driveway is a bit tricky but Laurie-Ann gave good advice about how to negotiate it. There is no washing machine (tank water only) but there are 2 laundromats in town.

Stayed Feb 5, 2026Our Coromandel Pole House stay provided everything we could have wanted for our long weekend break - phenomenal native bush views, perfect weather, and lots of relaxation.Our accommodation was clean, spacious, and comfortable. A well-equipped kitchen, and the large deck meant we only dined out once during our three-night stay - we kinda didn't want to leave! The warm weather, with no wind, gorgeous sunsets, and clear night skies, meant we sat outside enjoying snacks and drinks until very late at night. We're glad we took our binoculars to see shooting stars, satellites, and sooo many stars (no light pollution!) - and we even got visited by a possum, who was watching us from a nearby cabbage tree! The Pole House is perfectly located, only minutes from Coromandel Town, with beaches, tourist attractions (Driving Creek Railway is a must-do), and gorgeous scenery not too far away.We highly recommend staying at the Coro Pole House - the perfect getaway for a couple.

Stayed Jun 20, 2025This was such a wonderful place to stay for the long weekend. Really well equipped, excellent wood fire for the winter, all the fruits, beautiful deck overlooking bush clad hills, everything clean and tidy. Excellent bush walks nearby. Couldn't fault it.
