Stayed Dec 26, 2025The place was perfect and easy to access, with very clear instructions. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There were plenty of beds and blankets for everyone, and a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. The kids loved the Dinosaur House, which was only a 10-minute walk from the house.

Stayed Jul 3, 2025Fully equipped house with cool 70s decor and lots of beds. Very quiet with lovely countryside all around. Close to shops, dinosaur museum. Host very quick to communicate and resolved a minor issue very well.

Stayed Apr 27, 2025The kitchen and bathroom were clean and the host was pretty responsive when we had a problem. That's about where the positives ended. Let's start by clarifying that we arrived after it had gotten dark. We had to come up a gravel drive that was really more of a grassy hill, and my husband had to get out and open a gate, and we almost got stuck when I stopped on the other side to let him back in. We ended up having to walk around the house with my phone light to find the lock box because it was on the far side of the building. We get inside and there's no power or water, cause we have to turn them on. In the dark. Thankfully I read ahead and brought our own sheets, but the vague smell from the carpet and furniture gave us never been cleaned vibes. Perhaps it's a cultural difference, but I definitely wouldn't stay here again.

Stayed Jun 28, 2024This was our first time staying in a Bach and it has exceeded every single one of our expectations! Kelvin the property manager was so kind and easy to communicate with regarding all our questions. The Bach is incredibly spacious and homely, the fireplace keeps everything nice and toasty, and the facilities were all well kept and tidy. The view of Ruapehu and the stars at night can’t be beaten. We had a wonderful time, would highly recommend this property!
