Comfortable + Chic Retreat - 1 Block from King St!

Very nice property. Private parking was convenient, but difficult to get out of each day with the on-street cars surrounding the driveway. Thin walls in bedrooms allow lots of exterior noise in. Busy firehouse close by. Nice location makes many things walkable.

When we walked inside we realized this property was even better than in the pictures. Very affordable and great location. The host is very kind and easy to get into contact with for any reason. I would highly recommend.

Was a great space to park our bags and get comfortable sleep after a night at an event downtown. We didn't get to stay long, but enjoyed the little sitting area when we got in, and loved being able to retreat to our own rooms. Lots of walkable spots to eat nearby.

Wonderful location and spacious amount of bedrooms for the price. Living area is small as shown in listing photos. It was perfect for us. The home was clean except one bathroom floor and the paint in some areas is a little tired. However I would stay here again and appreciated the off street parking.

There was what I consider to be a fairly serious safety concern in this rental. I checked the windows that are marked as escape hatches to make sure they (windows) are functional. Unfortunately they are painted such that they can’t be opened. I don’t think I would ever need to use them but seems they should be operational. The fire inspection report was posted indicating the latest inspection was in April 2026. Additionally I wasn’t able to lower/close the window blinds in the den/kitchen. Therefore our privacy was compromised as the houses are very close together. The internet connection to the TLC Roku TV drops occasionally and I was only able to restore it by unplugging the TV and restarting. The fridge makes a humming noise when it runs and it’s annoying since it’s where the TV is located. As for parking, the driveway is very narrow which was aggravated by cars parking on the street leaving just enough space to get into the driveway. The rental is located on a busy street with vehicle and pedestrian traffic going by well into the night. I didn’t want these issues to be a surprise in this review without letting the host know beforehand. They did offer to have someone come by to address the issues. However, we were in town for major surgery at MUSC and couldn’t coordinate time to accommodate them. I’m really not a complainer although it may appear so. But, if nobody speaks up nothing gets addressed. When I read previous reviews they were very positive.

The property is centrally located for where we wanted to go. The kitchen is somewhat small but was adequate for what we needed. The bedrooms and bathrooms were great. The living area was comfortable and the whole place was just what we needed for our stay in Charleston!

Extremely clean and a great location to so many places in Charleston. Cute bakeries and coffee shops a block away. We had a great time!

We stayed for two nights during a Charleston trip with my high school daughter for college visits, and this property was perfect for our needs.The host’s communication was truly excellent — very responsive, kind, and cheerful, answering every question right away and making the whole process easy.The location could not be better. Very quiet and/yet everything — cafés, restaurants, and shops — is within walking distance, which made exploring Charleston simple and enjoyable.The space was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We would definitely recommend this property.

It could be cleaner! TV would not stay connected to the internet. Hot water was sketchy if you have more than 2 people showering in the same house!

The cutest place in Charleston walking distance to King Street and all of the wonderful stores and restaurants! 3 super nice bedrooms, comfortable beds and bedding, updated bathrooms. One bedroom and bathroom across living area from other 2 bedrooms. Kitchen and family room in center. Great set up. Darling place! Communication with host 5 stars! They responded immediately to all of my questions. Home one block from beautiful fire station and coffee shop!

This property worked well for our group. It was nice having 2 separate bathrooms with split bedrooms. Living and dining area was smaller but we didn't spend much time there. Location was great! Easy walk to King Street. I highly recommend this property!

Parking was easy and secure. Once we parked, the car stayed put because we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Beds were very comfortable.

The perfect stay for a girlfriends weekend! The property was in walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and everything else needed for a great weekend trip! Perfect property to stay at if you are going to Charleston, SC!

The location was amazing, right down from King Street, bagel shop right down the block, Corner Grocery store around the block! Beds were very comfortable, tons of towels, kitchen fully stocked and our own parking spot! We were only there for about 24 hours (went to the Mumford and Son's concert on Daniel Island), but it was a perfect stay for the four of us. Would definitely stay there again.

The property is only a couple blocks away from great food and drink but still with a quiet neighborhood vibe. The house was clean with comfy beds and recently remodeled bathrooms. I would easily choose to stay here for futures stays.

The place is cute and close to the shopping and restaurants on king st. That’s the good.There were a bunch of roaches. 2 dead ones, 4 or 5 alive ones. One of the beds had some kind of makeshift box spring that was essentially just two beams crossing in the middle. You can imagine how comfortable that was to sleep on. The house was maybe just a downside of being so close to the action. One of the bedrooms with an actual, functioning bed faces the street and is literally inches from a busy sidewalk. Lots of drunk traffic walking to and from the bars.

Great property in a very convenient location, minutes away from our favorite Charleston restaurants and attractions.

Location of property is great! The place we stayed was not so good. The beds were great but bathrooms were awful. There is a reason they don’t show photos of the showers/baths online. Mold behind the caulk, dirty shower, terrible workmanship…in need of some major renovation in the bathrooms and a new cleaning crew. I am always less concerned about aesthetics and more concerned about condition. Place needs some care and work. But I guess we paid for the location and that was a plus.

The best thing about the property was the location and the bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable and it’s nice to have a king size bed. The rest of the house was kind of shabby. The showers were gross. They definitely need to be gutted and replaced
