Stayed Jan 18, 2023Unique Property with beautiful views of the salt marshes of South Carolina. Very comfortable home on a river with a well-equiped dock. Excellant location for enjoying all the low country has to offer. No far from Charleston, Beaufort and several beaches.

Stayed Feb 1, 2022My wife and I had a wonderful time at the brown house. Arriving from the NY North country the SC marsh area was warm and sunny. It took a few days to adjust to “marsh time”. The red sunrises, the glowing sunsets and the tidal changes of the creek. We loved hanging out on the covered boat dock. It was a great place for lunch, fishing or just sitting in the sun. The amount of wildlife we were able to observe was amazing. The brown house was spotless and inviting, with interesting furnishings and collectibles. It’s a place to relax close to nature, read a book from the local bookstore or practice your photographic skills. We enjoyed long walks in the area near the brown house. The Edisto Environmental Center which has hands on displays, also has nature trails near the shore. The nearby Edisto Historical Museum with many photos and artifacts was our particular favorite. We think beautiful Edisto Island is a very special place.

Stayed Mar 20, 2021Our stay on Edisto Island was beyond all of our expectations. The home is lovely, clean and allows you to enjoy the beautiful property from every window. The birds and wildlife are so entertaining. We spent many hours on the dock fishing, hoping to catch a glimpse of the dolphins swimming by and just in awe of our beautiful surroundings. Thank you Craig for providing all the information we needed to truly enjoy our stay!

Stayed Feb 21, 2021This is a very special place, both the house and its location. Located on a point overlooking the salt marshes and with a creek running immediately past it, you get beautiful sunsets and sunrises and plenty of fantastic birds and scenery. Craig even set up the crab trap before our arrival, and it had five crabs in it when we checked it the first night! The house is nicely maintained, and the living quarters were very clean, nicely appointed with everything we needed and comfortable. There are multiple places on the property to relax: inside the house, on the house’s second floor deck, in the shade under the house, on the covered pier, and on the bench swing attached to a tree on the point. It is a perfect place for a relaxing getaway. We drove each day to the beach which is only about 15 minutes away. There is a seafood shack just down the main road from the house where you can buy fresh seafood to cook and enjoy back at the house. We feel lucky to have found this special spot and hope to be back to stay there again soon. Thank you, Craig, for opening it to us and being so accommodating!

Stayed Jan 9, 2021Our stay in Blue House Lane was spectacular. The location is dreamy and we brought tons of food and just cooked in. We caught fish and crabs and got shrimp and oysters at Flowers Seafood right up the road. Craig was great to talk to and everything was clean and tidy. Perfect amount of space for my husband and our son. Sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous. Can’t wait to return ?

Stayed Dec 20, 2020Very nice and quiet neighborhood. The house is very clean with fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed fishing at the dock, even in this time of the year, we still managed to catch some nice size sea trouts and black drums. The beach is only about 15 mins away, will definitely come back again.

Stayed Nov 7, 2020Another relaxing stay at this Edisto retreat! The location of the home and the serene surroundings always make for a wonderful getaway. Being able to cruise the creeks and dock your boat 20 steps from the home is ideal for someone who loves the water. Hoping Craig will always rent his wonderful property so others can enjoy!
