Main Level: open floorplan with well-equipped chef's kitchen, farm dining table, bar credenza (stocked with cocktail materials) and open living room. Enjoy bold wallpaper and art from local DC artists and photography from around the world. On this floor there is a large bedroom/office and attached bathroom has amazing stone shower. First level balcony with bench seating to enjoy a cup of coffee and spiral staircase leading to the private parking space.

On the upper level, you will find a large den with huge comfy sofa and TV, as well as full washer/dryer and 2 large bedrooms. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet, super comfortable queen-sized bed, and attached bath with double sinks. Decorated with denim effect on the walls and linen and wool, you will feel like you are in a cozy cabin in the middle of the city. Second bedroom upstairs has another queen-sized bed, large closet, attached full bath and upper balcony just outside from the hall, with a nice view of the alley where amazing neighbors regularly gather for movie nights and other social gatherings. This bedroom is vibrant and desert inspired.

Things to Do: Walk down 1st St and admire the beautiful Victorian row houses and gardens. Eat or drink (or pick up take out) at some of the best restaurants in the city. Enjoy a coffee or drink on the vine-covered patio at Big Bear Cafe and check out the neighboring farmers market (seasonal). Check out family-friendly parks like Crispus Attucks or the Park at Ledroit with playground and community garden.

    I have stayed in 30+ VRBO's over the years and this is perhaps the best one ever. It is large (1800 sq ft), beautifully decorated, clean and conveniently located. It looks even better than the pictures! Mattresses were all great. Kitchen was extremely well stocked. Manager responded promptly to any questions. It is pet friendly and has a small fenced area and a nice neighborhood for walking my dog. Rear alley parking was convenient, though the spiral stairs in the back are a bit of a challenge. I will definitely stay there again!

    This is a beautiful property which is even nicer than the pictures. The kitchen is well-equipped and well-stocked so that you can comfortably cook just about anything. The condo is filled with beautiful artwork. Janine has now replaced the sofa bed in the office with a queen bed, which worked out great for our family. The beds are very comfortable. There is some traffic noise from the master bedroom, so you might choose another bedroom if you are sensitive to noise. Janine was very responsive to my questions. Don't hesitate to book this wonderful property!

    We had a super visit (weather included) during April break. The parking spot even fit our big rental car- we grocery shopped on our way into the city and then left the car parked for the week. The spiral staircase was a bit of work with bags/suitcases, so we used the front door for coming and going after that. We walked, bused, or ubered around the city (15-35 min to the monuments or the zoo, depending on how you get there). A little further than we might have liked, but we knew that ahead of time. The house is very clean and welcoming! We loved the eclectic design and simplicity- feels very open and clutter-free. The furniture is comfy and there are two-three den/office areas for relaxing or using as additional spaces for sleeping. The fridge/cabinets had some basics, so we didn't have to bring in everything (oil, spices, etc.). The bedrooms are large with private bathrooms- great high ceilings. Great morning light! Black-out shades in the master help you sleep! Noise machines also helped (and were necessary) to block out traffic noise. The restaurants on your list were great- and walkable- plus we ordered delivery from Flower Child, which had delicious vegetarian/vegan options. A great stay overall! Thanks so much!

    This property is a gem in the mixed neighborhood of Capitol Heights. The unit is beautifully furnished with a stocked kitchen and pantry. Within 2 miles of the Capitol, our stay here provided walking options to the National Mall (3 miles), and the charming neighborhood of Bloomingdale. The host, Janine, is very responsive, and enabled a seamless check-in and check-out process.

    The condo is in a very good location and it is very easy getting around. The bus stop is a very short walk from the condo. We didn't use our car the entire time we were there. The parking spot in the back came in very handy as there is no onstreet parking. The staircase in the back is rather steep (as is common in these type of buildings) however there isn't any need to use it regularly. The unit is very spacious and clean. The pantry and kitchen are very well stocked. There is a white nose machine in the master bedroom and that helps a lot because the bedroom is right by the main road. The owner is very pleasant and very easy to contact. We enjoyed our stay very much

    The house was beautifully decorated! The landlord was very responsive in helping us with the WiFi The house is centrally located to the sights. There is a parking spot included. The only caution is the accessibility if you have a problem with stairs.
