Stayed Nov 26, 2025We really liked our stay because the house made it so great for the whole extended family to be comfortable and hang out together. It was also close to Ashville which allowed us to make a quick trip into town to see the sights. The house was very very well stocked for our Thanksgiving feast and setup for us to have the whole family together for the big meal.

Stayed Oct 27, 2025We have stayed here 3 times. It would have been 4, but unfortunately Hurricane Helene had different plans last year. Marisue is the ideal host. Responsive, available, and the care she puts into your stay is always visible. We love Asheville, and the location is perfect.

Stayed Aug 2, 2025Fabulous home away from home for a whole month! We could not have been happier being located so close Asheville, Hendersonville and some amazing hiking trails, waterfalls, and beautiful vistas. Family and pet-friendly. Spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished. Well stocked kitchen. Wonderful downstairs entertainment room with a wide of interesting books and videos for all ages. Close to great breweries and amazing BBQ! My opinion: best ever vacation rental ever!

Stayed Dec 24, 2024Our stay at Cold Moose went well. The house is large and accommodating. The location is central, but secluded. The house is pet friendly and the neighborhood and street are extremely quiet. The view from the deck is spectacular! We will stay again.

Stayed May 18, 2024We (all 5 of us …friends for between 40 and 47 years) met here, coming from Connecticut and Florida. The home is amazing. We wanted for absolutely nothing. The views, the decks, and every room was stunning. We could not have had a better place! Thank you so much. Every little touch was so greatly appreciated! We visited Asheville, the Biltmore and Chihuly exhibit, and took the Great Smoky Mountain Railway during our stay. Eating at Curate was such a treat! Everything was perfect.

Stayed Apr 25, 2024We came for the herb festival at the ag center and it was only about 15 minutes away, so the location was great. We did lots of cooking and visiting and the home was perfect for this. The kitchen is very well equipped. The only thing that was less than ideal were the stairs. I just didn’t realize they were steep and rather short so my oldest sister had some trouble with them. Other than that, everything was really lovely and perfect for my siblings and I to gather and enjoy each other’s company. Highly recommend!
