Stayed Jul 14, 2025Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a nice average to slightly above-average property. It is in no stretch of the imagination a luxury home as advertised. The location is good with access to the beach. The community is restrictive. There is only 2 parking spots for advertised 12 people. Also, there are only 10 seated places for meals. There was mold and water damage in the 2nd floor bedroom. The washing machine had mold and a stench that made it virtually unusable. The game room would have been a hit w/ teenagers if the air hockey table was operational [broke]. The 3rd floor king size bed frame collapsed on a guest during the night due to lack of supports. The pool was nice, but both chairs were broken and there were no entry/exit rails. This unit is not viable for seniors or mobility restricted people. There were other maintenance issues reported. My Vacation Haven offered to send maintenance workers, but we came to vacation; not sit around waiting for maintenance work. Besides, these are items that should have been discovered with an adequate pre-occupancy inspection. I would not recommend this unit to friends

Stayed Jul 5, 2025Property is a little beat up. It’s fine in general and location and management response was great. Kitchen utensils need to be replaced. Grill didn’t get very hot so probably needs to be checked. Layout of the house worked for our family of 9.

Destiny by the Sea is great with the gated community and private beach , location is the best .

Stayed Aug 13, 2024This is our 4th house we have rented within the Destiny by the Sea community and we were very happy with the property. What we saw within the pictures and what we read within the description was very accurate. We had a great time and really enjoyed the great feeling of the house.

Stayed Jul 13, 2024We wanted to enjoy this stay but seriously one issue after the other. First it’s impossible to keep the house clean from the sand there is no hose to clean off before going in and not mats or rugs to catch the sand so it gets everywhere. Second the bedroom on the second floor has ZERO AC going in to it. They had to come and place a portable ac unit. Then the fire alarms kept going off. First it was if you used any appliance in the kitchen then you had to keep certain doors shut then it was constant and they couldn’t fix so they had to remove it we would have removed it but ceilings were too tall and couldn’t reach. Also we are from an area with crazy allergies and I have NEVER had any allergies before. I could not breathe in this house. I had to go outside in order for my airways to open up and had to buy medicine in order to stay inside for more than an hour at a time it was so bad. Also multiple members of the family complained about the beds and waking in pain that felt like bruises from the mattresses. Also beware of the stairs we had littles and if you are holding their hands the stairs are not wide enough around curves and multiple members fell kids and adults due to slippery and too narrow. We ended up leaving early the house was so miserable. Great location but will never be back.

The house is the perfect size for us and we love having the private pool when not at the beach. The house is comfortable and well appointed. We will be back again . Our fourth visit to this property! Everyone at My Vacation Haven is always helpful with whatever we need.

Stayed Jul 24, 2023We had a great time staying here. With 6 kids ranging from 5-11, the Tri-level experience offered space for us to spread out and do our own thing while not at the beach. Loved having the mini pool at the house because the kids used this while we cooked dinner or lounged. It was a way for those to rest who wanted while allowing the energetic ones an outlet as well.

Reviewer Comments: The rental was clean and close proximity to the beach and pool which was nice but the main level bedroom never got cool and was hot during our entire stay which made it very hard to sleep. It would have been nicer to have the adequate amount of seating in the dining room so we could all eat together but the table only could host half of us so some had to sit on the stairs, stand or we took turns. Same thing with the cars, the house holds 12 so if you have 3 cars, only 2 can fit in the driveway and the other car would have to find parking. Primary bathroom upstairs doesn’t have any doors so there’s no privacy and the pool was dirty when we arrived as well. Other than that, we had a great time and definitely be back to Destin.
