Lookout Mountain, Georgia
This cozy getaway blends into Lookout Mountain and emphasizes the beauty of the land inside and out. Every room draws natural light and calm. Convenient drive to all of Chattanooga's natural wonders, and a short distance from charming town life--minutes away from world-class hiking, biking, climbing, waterfalls, and hang-gliding.
The cozy master bedroom holds a king bed and golden sunset views over the bluff. The porch-side room soaks up the morning sun and has a queen bed along with an additional twin bunkbed. The kitchen is spacious and bright with plenty of room and gadgets for even the most adventurous meals. The great-room is the airy hub of the cottage, perfect for board games, curling up to read, or a healthy dose of Netflix and chill.
Access: The upstairs apartment is all yours! You will have free reign of the upstairs, second level deck, the washer and dryer downstairs in the garage, and the grounds. Be aware that the apartment downstairs is occupied by a long term renter, our good friend Sarah and her pup Timber. They have their own outside entrance and parking spaces so no worries on shared access to the home.
The smart TV has a blue-ray/DVD player hooked up, and Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, etc built-in. Check out the house manual for more entertainment details.
Host Interaction: Cherith, your host, will be available through the website messenger or by text or call.
Things to note:
-There is a small blue tiny home on our property that is also a VRBO rental (Lil' Haven) and you may see guests walking to/from their separate parking pad. Feel free to wave hello!
-EdenThistle is a few minutes away and provides dog kenneling services.

Our stay was great, even if some of the circumstances were not the best! We had 4 adults and two children under three, one of which got very sick. The cottage was perfect for allowing everyone to have a room to themselves AND let me take the sick baby in the living room to sleep on the futon without disturbing anyone. Incredibly spacious, the cottage was a wonderful place to decompress in between family wedding activities and the view was amazing. The back patio was a perfect spot to answer some emails or enjoy a drink. Like other reviews, it does take about 15 minutes to get down the mountain but the view is worth it every time. The host was great and even gave us an opportunity to check in a little early, which is always so helpful when travel with littles. My sister and her boyfriend were already eyeing the tiny home on property for their next trip!
We had a wonderful stay, even though cut short by events beyond anyone's control. Host was accomodating and gracious, and provided extra unexpected touches, like a bottle of wine. Truly delightful, and we hope to return.
Great views. Property matches description very well. We had a wonderful time.
The home was exactly as described. Great location and great set up. Good size rooms for multiple people. The house has a great view from the windows and deck.
We loved staying here for New Year’s! Clean, cute, and comfortable.
Great views - and super easy access to Chattanooga. Our new go to!
The house was perfect for what we needed for our weekend getaway. Everything was clean and welcoming, the bed in the master was the most comfortable bed I've slept on, and the heated floor in the bathroom was so nice. The living room was a nice space for relaxing after a day out hiking. We very much enjoyed our stay. We didn't love knowing someone else was right below us and the access they had through the hall door, but it worked out. I'd suggest adding another form of a lock so the guests feel more comfortable knowing someone can't easily get to their space.
Lovely cottage and was the perfect cozy place to stay for a quick weekend trip to visit our son going to SLTC. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us!
We really enjoyed our stay here. Clean, well maintained, kitchen has extras for cooking, and just 20 minutes from downtown Chattanooga. The back porch view is something special. We will book again if open for us too. Kevin Davis & family
This getaway was absolutely perfect. Great view from the deck with spectacular fall colors. Very clean and inviting. We were just a couple but there was lots of room for a family. Would love to stay again.
My mom, sister, and I came down for a girls weekend. We truly loved the property. The view from the deck is amazing. We sat out there for hours. The cottage is cozy and beds are comfortable. Had all the amenities we needed. Would stay again!
Great location and view. Neat and Clean!
we enjoyed our stay here so much. very clean and convenient. wonderful view!
My husband and I rented the house for our 10th anniversary and really enjoyed it. We loved eating breakfast out on the deck overlooking the valley. I bet it’s beautiful in the fall! We had a relaxing stay and the house had most everything we needed.
We will definitely be staying here again if we make another trip to Lookout Mountain! The property was super cute, very clean, and had the most amazing views!! The room with bunk beds & a queen was perfect for all the kids. The king in the master was very comfy. But one of everyone’s favorites were all the “little” extra touches…mints & toiletries wrapped on towel sets, our name on chalkboard at front door, wine at front foyer, board games, etc. My girls keep talking about how cute the house was! Thank you!!
After an eight-day trip across the Eastern side of the country and trying three different spots to lay our heads, this was our favorite. It had spectacular views and sunsets from the back patio. The home wasn't cluttered, hallways are wide, rooms large, and the back deck felt updated and safe. Although it wasn't a large home it felt large and homey. Beds were clean and comfortable. Everything felt very clean and comfortable. They even had general spices and condiments for you to use in case you stayed in and cooked. Also, for those of you with walking disabilities or wheelchairs, there are only two steps into the home and only one threshold onto the back deck! The walkway from the parking pad to the front of the house wasn't too steep and felt safe. No worries about slipping on it. I will definitely go back as soon as I can and take my son who is in a wheelchair.
