Everything was perfect: the house, the amenities and the location! The house is beautiful, and comfortable and well stocked. The host was lovely.

The house and amenities were amazing! As a large group of 16 we were able to sleep everyone comfortably and had enough space that we didn’t feel like we were crammed in. Robin was very communicative and on top of any questions leading up to and during the stay. I would highly suggest this property to any large group looking to stay together on a single property without breaking the bank.

Our gathering brought back together 2 exchange students (we hosted back in 1997-98) and their own families and our 2 daughters and their families, totaling 18 persons. they all came from CA, Brazil, CO, NY and right here in RI. The house was a huge hit! Everything was as described online. More than enough of the kitchen and bathroom essentials. The young kids in our group enjoyed the yard and the carriage house. we brought plenty of things for all ages to do as well as what was at the house and in the garage. Our friends had other plans to explore other attractions outside of RI but found that is enough to see in our beautiful state of RI. we enjoyed the house immensely and would definitely rent it again if the opportunity arises. thank you for a wonderful experience!

We had a fantastic stay at The Wakefield. Our extended family of 15 people from ages of 18 to 90 and two small dogs had a fabulous time. The location was fantastic. It is within a couple blocks of downtown Wakefield with its cute shops, art studios, WWII museum and Brinkley's ice cream and it is just a half-hour to Newport for fun day excursions, and within 10 minutes to some wonderful RI Beaches. The house provides an ample supply of beach towels and chairs too. The house was extremely clean, and the AC worked wonderfully with multiple zones. The kitchen had everything we needed to do a few family meals, and the barbeque grill worked great. The spaces in the house and the carriage house gave everyone wonderful places to gather and to have alone time space when needed. Robin, the house manager, was extremely responsive during our stay and got back to us regarding any questions we had instantly. One of the past reviews on here recommended to bring your own pillows if you are particular, and many of us did do that. The first-floor bathroom was handicap accessible with a roll-in shower and safety bars which worked very well for our family members in their 80s/90s. Overall, it was fantastic place to stay and a great location for a family vacation.

The house was gorgeous, incredibly clean and had plenty of room for our group of 12 women. Highly recommend!

Stayed 4 nights with family aged 8 to 81. Everyone was impressed and wanted to stay another week! Plentiful towels, spices, bedrooms, bathrooms. We chose it for the wheelchair accessibility and it worked out well for my husband who is non ambulatory and uses an electric scooter for mobility. Bed was perfect height for transferring, roll in shower had a bit of a curb but we used a shower chair that rolled over it ok. Bathroom sink is high, but workable. It's so rare to find wheelchair accessible homes. It was great. They had lots of ramps for entry that worked great for his Amigo scooter.

We stayed at this property over the weekend to celebrate our daughter‘s graduation from URI. It was wonderful to have a place for our whole family to stay. The rooms were very nice. The bathrooms were clean. The whole place was clean and very nice accommodations for a large group there was two dining room tables a big bar with barstools Highly recommend.

Excellent spot to gather a large group and not feel like sardines. Plenty of everything and very comfortable - bonus game room lounge for the kids and everything you need within walking distance or 2 minute drive.

The house is beautiful and accommodated 18 of us. Had a lot of fun and great food. Would go again in a heartbeat.

The property was clean, easy to find, and access. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked to handle all the cooking we did and there was plenty of space for everyone. It was a wonderful home and we were elated to be able to gather our friends and celebrate the completion of our 20s

Beautiful home lots of functional space for eight different couples fun space for games. We had a catered dinner, which worked out really nice in the space. Wonderful host. Highly recommend.

Great house to allow family members to stay together vice hotel room. Game room was a hit! Wonderful location to go sightseeing.

We had 20 people stay for our wedding and it was awesome. The house is super spacious for getting ready in the morning. We even did our first look on the front porch. I recommend bringing a pillow if you are picky about them. Overall it was a wonderful property.

We had a great time at The Wakefield! The house had a great amount of space for our entire family and the carriage house was perfect for a quiet spot. The kitchen is fully stocked with all types of kitchen appliances and the double washer and dryers came in handy while traveling with children. Having the town within walking distance was wonderful. There are plenty of restaurants and even a grocery store a few blocks away. Our entire family had a great time!

Perfect property for our extended family coming into town for a wedding! Clean spacious and comfortable. Lots of room.

We had an excellent stay at The Wakefield!! We had 16 adults and 5 toddlers fly in from 5 different states for a family reunion and the house was exactly as explained online. The property manager was exceptional at responding to questions. All the beds were comfortable and we had plenty of towels and beach towels and chairs for all. We catered in most of our food from a local vendor which was fantastic.

The house is in a perfect location, just off Main Street in Wakefield. Easy walk to dinner, ice cream, shopping, and entertainment. The house is spacious and has laundry on both the first and second floors. Ample parking even though we only had 5 cars, there was enough room for at least 3 more. The beaches are close but so is Newport, Providence, and Mystic. More than enough room for our young adults to hang out and play pool or foosball in the carriage house while the “old” folks hang out playing cards and board games in the main house. Just the perfect vacation spot for a large extended family.

Wonderful, well-situated gathering place with all the amenities for a large family to celebrate. Small and large spaces for everyone's needs. Outdoor space and extra carriage house a plus!

All 19 of us had a wonderful time at this house. The house was very clean, Robin was very responsive and addressed any concerns quickly. The location was great and we would love to stay there again.
