Northport, Maine
Imagine a home as captivating as its landscape; one where the rolling ocean views and rising morning mist complement the allure of this particular design. A home where the floorplan has been constructed to let the natural world inside. This property is a true masterpiece; from the use of triple pane windows, private balconies, and a custom crow's nest, to the intricate masonry, 2- person hot tub (Spring, Summer, and early Fall use only), and fire pit patio; this is a piece of art on the interior and the exterior.
Those who find peace and calm from watching the views need to experience this property. From any room in the house, it is possible to take in the expanse of Penobscot Bay. Watch the gulls soar, the boats sail, and the sun pass through the sky as you enjoy time with family.
This is the first time this property is available for rent and you will appreciate the setting, the upgrades, the custom finishes, and the accommodating floorplan.
Upon entry, the house welcomes you with built-in benches and a storage closet for shedding layers and storing gear as you come and go. There is an open area at the front of the house which is arranged as a living room, dining room, and open-concept gourmet kitchen. A modern wood fireplace is intended to warm the atmosphere and eliminate the chill on cooler nights. This common area of the house sprawls out onto the outdoor patio and it allows inviting seating for long conversations or good books.
The kitchen is outfitted with only the best; high-end appliances, granite countertops, and a large pantry allow for the chef in the family to enjoy preparing a meal while others sit at the island or relax in the living room.
The flooring throughout the house is stained concrete with radiant heat which uniformly and comfortably heats the house. You'll appreciate the easy cleanup and the welcoming warmth throughout.
Down the hall, there are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The first bedroom faces the water and uses a detached bathroom located directly across the hallway. The bedroom is furnished with one set of bunk beds, a twin over double, and this is the only non-suite bathroom and it is intended to serve guests as well. At the end of the hall, a large master bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, a dresser, a closet, and an incredible private deck. The en-suite bathroom for this master features a soaking tub as well as a standing tile shower. There is also a designated laundry room on the ground level.
Two more suites are located on the second level, each of the bedrooms is furnished with a queen bed, a dresser, a closet, and enjoys a private balcony overlooking the grounds and the ocean. Unique amenities like this allow for guests to enjoy a moment to themselves while still getting away from it all with family and friends.
A spiral staircase ascends from the second level to the crow's nest. This intricate detail is heaven for guests who have an appreciation for tree-houses, forts, or cupulas. There is a twin bed under the spiral stairs and two more nested into the top. As you can imagine, this fun use of space allows for some of the best views on the rental market.
Exceptional care has gone into this home; from the design by the original owners to the choices of furnishings and amenities provided for our rental guests. This home in itself is just as much an experience as the ocean destination that you will enjoy.
Important Notes:
Snow removal: All our homes are contracted with various snow removal companies in the area. This includes plow service and snow shoveling for decks and harder to reach areas.
Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking.
My sisters and I had a quick getaway to surprise our mom for her birthday. This property provided a great spot to enjoy sitting outside in a private setting.
Spacious, beautifully constructed contemporary with many fine amenities. Well situated between Camden and Belfast Maine. Happy to recommend this home.
We were impressed by the house and Mark the property manager
The Cliff House exceeded our expectations in almost every way possible. We found the best way to spend our time while in the area was to be at the house while hanging with the family and enjoying the views. Treat yourself!
The Cliff House is an impressive and unique property that had us marveling the entire stay. It's passive design kept the interior cool during hot summer weather, and the glass frontage towards the ocean provided exceptional views.
We gathered with family from different parts of the country to memorialize our parents, who spent their summers just down the road in Lincolnville. The house was simply perfect. It is beautiful with stunning views, comfortable, well stocked, and exceptionally private. The property management is very well organized and available for personal contact if needed. My only criticism is the web page for the property really does not do justice to the view and perhaps is a bit confusing on the layout of the bedrooms, which exceeded our expectations.
This house was wonderful- very comfortable and expansive enough that our two families could each claim an area/ floor and have privacy, but be in the common areas together. The house is well-equipped with everything you could need, and the kitchen was fun to cook in. Our big glitch was that the wifi wasn't working when we arrived, and with a remote work schedule and 4 kids with iPads, it was a bit disastrous. The property manager was amazingly responsive and helpful though, and after two days we finally found the issue and got it up and running. The only other downside of the property is that there is not a single window treatment there, so if you stay here prepare to wake up with the sun. Not a huge issue for our early risers, but I could see it being less than ideal for those with younger children. Overall, though, this house is great and we would totally come back.
Had a wonderful weekend, spent time on Isleboro and in Camden. House is beautiful, will definitely be back!
Beautiful property! Exactly as advertised, even better in person.
Everyone in our party loved the house. It was well-appointed with great views from all the bedrooms. We easily fit 7 adults and one 2-year-old, with room for a few more if needed! The grounds are beautiful, giving plenty of reason to stay home while vacationing. It was a hot weekend and there is no AC, but there were breezes enough to make it comfortable. Note that there are no shades on any of the windows so an eye mask is recommended if you like to sleep in (the sun rose before 5 am). Camden Hills State Park is close and nearly on par with Acadia, better if you want to hike without crowds.
Everything about this property was amazing! Views from every room. Very clean. Well stocked kitchen and nicely appointed with comfortable beds and furnishings Only issue was no receiving check in instructions prior to arriving at the property. We had to spend 1/2 hour waiting outside until the property manager called us back with the code.
Great house! Well equipped kitchen! Comfy beds! Lots of room to spread out! Private but close enough to shopping and restaurants! And the view is beautiful! After many years away, it was great to visit Maine again. It is still my favorite state other than Kentucky, the people are still friendly, and the food is still fabulous. Unfortunately Maine, like the rest of the country is dealing with higher summer temperatures and the house is not air conditioned if that is a problem for you. The house does have lots of windows and fans so we were fine. Thanks for sharing your home!
The house was well furnished especially the Kitchen. View was excellent unless the fog rolls in. Outside fire pits was definitely a plus. One was gas and one was for wood Really enjoyed our stay
Wonderful, spacious, relaxing property! The views go on forever!
