Stayed Aug 16, 2025Great house in a quaint little fishing village at the end of the peninsula. Quiet little neighborhood around 15 min to Popham beach. Two decks, the top one has a great view and overlooks the ocean. The road out to the village has very little traffic, so great for morning runs and walks. Caretaker is very responsive to any issues.

Stayed Aug 11, 2025Great cottage stay! Exactly what we expected. We ate fresh lobsters, went to Popham Beach, Fox Island, and explored Cat’s Cove!Cottage host even left us an 2025 access-pass to state parks (which we used every day)! Thank you!Double bathrooms were clutch after coming home from the beach and everyone needed a quick rinse to remove the salt from their bodies.BBQ grill in back was used every night to cook, ate out on the patio, observed the ocean from both decks! Wonderful 1week vacation location!

Stayed Jul 3, 2025We stayed at Bill’s property for the long weekend over 4th of July. The views from the decks were amazing and Cat Cove was the perfect beach for our two kids and dog. We had a wonderful time and fell in love with Phippsburg!

Stayed Sep 9, 2024This was our second time of staying at Sand Dollar cottage. It is a comfortable and enjoyable place. We had an awesome time. We availed ourselves of the opportunity to have a private lobster dinner and a private oyster tasting right around the corner from our cottage.

Stayed Aug 21, 2024Great home base for a family of 4 with a four and a two year old that like to be outside. Easy to get to popham, as well as a local beach, and some trails for kids. Safe 5 mile down and back running with the kids in the pushchair. Would definitely come back next summer. Bill graciously dropped off some needed TP. Of note, if bad weather not a ton to do with a 4 and a 2 year old. Sleepy neighborhood for the most part, but a neighbor did have a loud get together one night, but nothing too crazy. A few neighborhood kids seemed to use the yard/driveway as a cut through.

Stayed Aug 18, 2024A quaint neighborhood with a wonderful view. The cottage was clean, well stocked for cooking, and perfect for families of different abilities as there is a first-floor bedroom and bathroom and second-floor bedrooms and bathroom. Two lovely back decks with the best views on the second floor. Peaceful. Private. We had to travel with our elderly tiny dog and it was perfect to have a location to accommodate dogs. We would consider staying again. To clarify, the listing states that there is a hot tub (which we understood to signify an outdoor hot tub), but that is not the case from what we could find. There is a bathtub on the first level for those who would find that important. We traveled with a 15 and 13 year old who loved the experience and Popham beach in the rain and fog! Yes, our entire stay was a little chilly and rainy, but the beach was still fun and Bath, ME a wonderful town to explore. Don't miss Renys...such a true Maine treat. Brunswick was a fun stop on the way up and home. Thank you for a great stay. Bill was a responsive host.

Stayed Aug 10, 2024Very comfortable stay for our family of four. Great view of the ocean from the second floor deck. Plenty of room for our family to spread out. Extremely clean, neat house. Modern kitchen. Very quiet neighborhood on the end of a peninsula. Very responsive caretaker. Had one small issue that was fixed within 45 minutes of me texting him. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Jul 10, 2024We had a wonderful 5 day getaway to coastal Maine. The place was perfect for our needs, plenty of room, well stocked and well maintained. Best of all was the location right on West Point in Phippsburg, just a quick walk down to the waterfront with local lobstermen and an oyster shack/museum. We are definitely planning on coming back here next summer.

Stayed Jun 28, 2024We stayed here for a family reunion in the area, and found it suited our needs just fine. West Point is a very small tightly packed hamlet but was very quiet, given the proximity of the houses to each other. The house is very comfortable and we liked the decks on the first and second floor.

Stayed Jun 11, 2024This property is located in the sweetest little fishing village. You are a walk away from most of the essential “maine” experiences. Walk down and get fresh caught lobster, clams or fish from the local dock. Rent kayaks or take boat tours both located a walks distance from the property. Stop in to the museum to get a make your own lobster roll kit and talk to the local owner who was so nice. Sit at the cove and let your kids search for shells, sea glass, and crabs. A quick drive takes you to the local store Bensons that has everything you could need at cheaper prices than most of the surrounding grocery stores including homemade pastries and an entire make to order deli. A quick drive has you at popham beach, local restaurants, or Bath for sweet boutique shopping. The place itself was perfect for our family with plenty of room for everyone and everything you could need for cooking up any of your local dishes. It also has a washer and dryer which is always a huge plus with kids. We are already planning a trip back.

The furnishings are comfortable and the place was very clean. We hope to return. It was super relaxing and the neighbors were so friendly!

Stayed Jun 18, 2024This is one of a jumble of cottages clustered on a spit of land between two rocky coves. It is not a buzzy mecca of shops and restaurants, but Bath is not too far away and it is only 15 minutes or so to Popham. It's just a very nice place to be.
