What We Love
A restful pastoral retreat from the city, the Benton Farmhouse is the perfect place for large families and friend groups to reconnect and reflect with the people who mean the most to you. Spacious, and boasting old-world charm, this beautifully restored historic home radiates an abundance of warmth. Conveniently located on Route 14A in the middle of the Wine region of the Finger Lakes, this home is perfectly located to tour and explore the area. It can also serve as a relaxing base for wedding parties using multiple local wedding venues.

Enjoy cozy movie viewings from the comfort of the spacious living room's soft seating. Engage in some playful competition over a game of chess under the glow of the library's lamps, or any of the many games for all ages in the living room or the huge recreation room. When hunger arises, head for the well-equipped kitchen and play chef amongst the full suite of appliances and ample meal prep space. Serving your dishes will be a breeze at the expansive, formal dining table. After eating, enjoy a night in while playing Ping-Pong in the wood-lined recreation room/TV-watching area. Mix your game nights with delicious concoctions prepared at the recreation room bar.

With six large bedrooms to choose from, rest assured that no one's comfort will go unattended to. Each of the rooms offers soft linens, vintage decor pieces and furniture, and cool air - thanks to the home's partial air-conditioning. Additional interior perks include a private washer/dryer, a high chair, internet access, and office space with a desk and printer in the quiet library. After a couple of front door steps, the lower level of the house has a bathroom and bed available.

Outside, enjoy the country breeze while grilling or sitting in front of the dancing flames in the fire pit. Enormous lawns encourage spirited games of corn hole and badminton, while the large driveway can be set up for pickleball, all of which are supplied.

When exploring the surrounding area, be sure to check out the numerous regional wineries, excellent local restaurants (we can suggest our favorites), charming Penn Yan (“Penn' for the Pennsylvanians and “Yan” for the Yankees who settled the area in the early 1800s), the scenic Finger Lakes, Keuka Lake Outlet trail, Keuka Lake State Park, Finger Lakes Rail Riders (just around the corner), Canandaigua Country Club, or further up the road, Hunt Hollow Ski Club. Don't be surprised if you encounter horse-drawn buggies sharing local roads on your way to Windmill Market just south of Penn Yan, which hosts dozens of shops, produce, and food to enjoy.

House was huge and had plenty of room for a big group. It had a nice outdoor space and the room with the bar and ping pong table was great. The house was clean and stocked with soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels. There were plenty of yard games to choose from as well. TVs were large and equipped with Roku. The biggest dissapointment was the kitchen. It was small and many of the appliances were quite old. The dishwasher barely worked. We also had a hard time finding equipment we needed. There was only 1 frying pan, for example, and they didn't have a complete set of steak knives. The property manager definitely needs to inventory, organize, and restock the kitchen.Other than that, the house was really an amazing property. It was great for anyone who wants to be in the Finger Lakes but doesn't need to be on the water. The house is managed by Vacasa. I found them to be inconsistent with communication. Some messages were answered quickly, and others took days. Also, be aware that this house does not have an option for early check-in, so I would avoid if that's important to you. They did have a late checkout option, although we did not take advantage of it.Overall, a good option for large groups looking for a weekend getaway.

Yes clean and spacious uneven grounds out back at fire ring area and steps a little high going into the back door area noisy road as the the house is right next to a busy road and the fire ring needs replaced due to it rusting apart

It was beautiful, historical, family friendly , and close to many things to do. Couldnt have asked for a better place to stay. The family has made it welcoming and comforting and the maintenance/cleaning crew made it clean and there were no issues. Stress free!

Limited parking but otherwise spacious property. Large bedrooms, many doors stick, and one bathroom the door can't be closed all the way. Window AC units worked well, but one bedroom does not have an air conditioner and was very warm. The first night there (July 4) we were eating in the dining room and heard a loud bang and the floor shook. I texted for help and they eventually agreed to have maintenance investigate. The metal support post in the basement had corroded and collapsed making the dinning room floor very spongey. We were told not to use the dining room until repairs could be made. They were made the next day and I've been waiting ever since to hear about any compensation for loss of the dining room. I never heard from the owner.

We had a lovely time during our family gathering. There were 13 of us and there was plenty of rooms and space. House is really well kept and very clean. The kids had a great time roaming around the house and playing chess, ping pong and running outdoors. We went to the Keuka Lake Outlet trail and Keyka Lake State park and had a great time. They were both very close by and provided lots of fun activities for everyone.

Beautiful farmhouse. Really big and very well kept and clean. Our stay was at beginning of June and the temperature was low 70’s so it was comfortable but the bedrooms needed fans since the air conditioner units were not yet installed. The rest of the house was fine.

Lovely antiques in keeping with style of home, convenient location, easily accessible for my family. We chose because number of beds and number of bathrooms since we needed adequate time to prepare for a wedding. One bathroom, tub was either not clean or terribly stained. I believe most of dirt or stains could have been removed with those Mr. Clean style scrubbing sponges. Shower curtain liner also needed changing because of some mold. Also, my sister noticed all the dead bugs on the window ledges...could have easily been vacuumed off or wiped up. I know this time of year, bugs come into the homes but dead ones had obviously been there for some time.
