Classic Cañon City Getaway - 13 Mi to Royal Gorge!

Beautiful, historical home - close to downtown Canon City! House has lots of character and is very comfortable. We were in Canon City for a family reunion and this was the perfect place for us to stay - close to shops/grocery and just a 5 min drive from family home. Close to main roads for our daily outings to see local attractions. The property manager was super helpful, friendly and informative. She quickly responded to any questions!

Fantastic stay. Clean, easy access to stores, restaurants and local attractions. Fun to explore the house and find the hidden staircase.

The kitchen had almost every utensil that we needed. The house was clean and good order.

The kids loved the house and the wonderful surprise was too much fun! Outside fenced in yard… hot tub and firepit, plenty of room for kids to run. The kitchen was well supplied and very new and updated appliances. Showers were awesome, lots of water power! King sized beds were a major plus! The master bedroom had the ultimate walk-in closet anyone would love to have. Thought it was interesting that there were no clocks and only 1 tv but actually appreciated that we spent more time doing stuff together and not worrying about time. We all appreciated the historical feature of the house, it was fun. Thank you and we highly recommend the stay!

Gorgeous home my delightful setting as a home base for our canyon City adventures. Didn't have much need to reach out but Amber was responsive when I did.

The house was very nice! It was very roomy and we felt right at home. The owner was easy to communicate with and also very accommodating. We would stay here again in the future.

This was a perfect place to stay for a few days of visiting the Royal Gorge. We really enjoyed it and will definitely stay here again if we come back.

Great place for pets, good location.

It was a nice house for our large family. Back yard was great for our dogs and kids to play. There were minor “surprises” when it came to cleanliness like dead bugs along windows and food left in fridge. Nothing that we couldn’t deal with. Overall we loved this house.

House was clean and neat, and had plenty of room for a family of 4. Everything worked as expected. There were some signs of previous pets, but it didn't cause an issue.

Spacious older home with many modern updates. The interior was gorgeous and furnished with everything we needed for a wonderful week getaway with extended family. I would absolutely stay again.

Overall, a very nice place to stay. An older house but well maintained, with several nice common areas to sit and relax. A few supplies were missing (soap, laundry detergent), but the owner was happy to provide them. There are uneven floors, which were not a problem for us but may be hard for people with challenges with balance/walking.The secret staircase was a plus!

This beautiful historic home was open and spacious. It had character as well as comfort. We enjoyed calling it ‘home’ for our mini vacation

This vrbo is fantastic for our family gathering. Kitchen is big enough, there is lots of seating, good parking options. The backyard being fenced is a huge bonus!

We just wanted a place to relax that was safe and close to shopping, restaurants and this property exceeded our expectations.The hot tub and fenced yard was an awesome addition. They had everything that was needed and more.

We took our 6 adult children to ride the Polar Express and spend some time together making home made meals. This home is magical! We had such a good time and the Christmas parade was a block away.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was great and had everything we needed. We were glad to find such a nice place that allowed us to bring a dog. The location was right in town and was within walking distance to a lot of different businesses. It is an older home that has had a lot of charm and modern conveniences.

The property needs a refreash. Beding linens need updates, yard needs work, some furniture needs replaced. One bathroom on second floor for 4 bedrooms is a challenge. 3/4 bath on main floor is very awkward, sense the bed rooms are upstairs. Called maintance and they did respond to some of our issues.

This was my first Vrbo rental. We were over the top impressed with the property. It was clean, cute, and fit our needs well. Nice quiet area, and close to everything we had planned to do. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place for us to gather?
