Reviewer Comments: Our family of 10 rented this beach house to be near Corpus Christi for TAMUCC graduation- it was perfect location, beautiful house and adorable community! We arrived the first day and wanted to watch the end of the basketball game so had Pizza at Dylan’s pizza; the second day my daughter celebrated her 30th birthday so we had dinner at Lisabella’s - delicious; each day we took our six seater golf cart to the beach/pool and had chairs and umbrellas waiting for us on the beach. This house has the best floor plan - a great room for all to gather and patios out both sides . The primary bedroom is upstairs and all the others are downstairs. The kitchen was stocked beautifully for all the meals we prepared. Our stay was lovely at Soul Surfin!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was in a great location for us- right by Keira's pool and easy access to town center and the restaurants. The house was in good condition and the beds were comfortable, but the outside could use some TLC. The landscaping had not been touched it looked like since last summer- dying plants and weeds everywhere, neither hose worked, the outdoor shower did not work and weeds were growing all in the bottom of it. Also, if there is not access from the back of the house into the house (door or garage), you would think there would be pavers or some sort of path to walk to the front door, but there was not. We had to walk over bushes and through dirt to our cars. Other than that, we had a great stay.

Soul Surfin was clean and well laid out. We enjoyed the open floor plan and good space for hosting large groups. The upper balconies front and back were nice too. The location was perfect for the pool next door, Dylan’s pizza a block away and the beach a short walk or ride on a golf cart. We enjoyed the extra amenities from Cinnamon Shore management including the beach chairs, bonfire and s’mores set up. The extra touches made for a memorable weekend away with family..

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house overall treated our two families well, however there are some basic rental home must haves that need to be added. One of the main frustrations was the inability to exit through the back of the home. The location of the property (lack of front driveway) really makes it frustrating to unload/load car/golf cart. I understand that the owner likely has their person golf cart in the garage area which is why they restrict owners from going through there - but there are other ways to secure a personal golf cart I've seen other owners do (adding The Club or securing with bike locks) that they can implement which would keep their cart secure and still allow renters to pass through the garage. There wasn't any cabinet in the home that allowed us to put away food - there just wasn't any cabinet that didn't have cups/wine glasses, etc. My wife spent an hour rearranging the cabinets so we could actually have a pantry to put food away. The owners have their personal cabinet locked up of course, but the pantry area below it had decorative3 plates, cups, etc. A complete oversight by the owners of this home to provide a pretty basic expectation of having a functioning pantry when you are renting a home of this size for this cost. There is also no clothes storage in the lower floor master, no chest of drawers or anywhere to put clothes away. The closet in this room and others provided a closet with a place to hang clothes (which they had 3 hangers in the house so we had to go out and buy hangars to actually put some of our guests clothes away) All of this combined with the lack of ability to unload the car from the back of the house upon our arrival really put a sour taste in our mouths when we walked in. These are pretty basic things that I think any renters would expect to have. The home is beautiful, and the openness of the upstairs living/kitchen was nice and comfortable. Great house, owners just to need to make few changes to accommodate common rental needs.

The layout of soul surfin was perfect for our family - the space was very functional, inviting and comfortable. The first floor bedrooms were perfect for our children and grandchildren with two king size bedrooms, two bathrooms and the bunk room. This was the first house we stayed in where we had access to the garage which was fabulous to come through after showering at the outdoor shower we could leave our beach toys etc. in the garage.The second four living space was perfect - it was large and open and we spent a lot of time sitting around the dining table playing Uno or out on the front deck off the living room.Only two small negatives - there were only a few forks in the silverware drawer so we were constantly washing silverware or had to use plastic forks and there was no pantry so we had to get creative hiding snacks.Lastly, the location of soul surfin is perfect - having the Stillwater pool right outside the front door was awesome - the kids loved it and we were a short walk from Lake Colby, the great lawn, the restaurants and the market!
