Chestnut Cottage- Cozy Cottage for Two!

Nice little bungalow. Short brick driveway right in front. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Neighborhood is nice and quiet, easy walk into downtown

Loved every single thing about this place and have ready talked about coming back. Only two negatives - the sitting room doesnt heat and was so freezing we spent christmas having to sit on the bed to sit/eat/drink/watch xmas shows on tv. And company info board lights up the entire bedroom and even if i put it to sleep to darken, it automatically came blazing back on 7am. That was awful alarm wake up over a holiday vacation.

Loved the location, the EV charger on property was great! Didn’t like the skylight above the bed, too bright in the morning. The bed could’ve been better. The door to the outside in the small room couldn’t lock, which didn’t make you feel totally safe. The front yard could have used a fence of some kind, being the pet friendly property it is.

The neighborhood is super safe with nice mature trees to enjoy on morning and evening walks and the neighbors are friendly. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances/pans/glassware, etc. The couch was a little hard and small and some larger men might not find it too comfy. I loved sitting out on the patio and having breakfast! I am definitely planning to stay there again on my next trip to Paso.

The location is amazing and perfect for exploring the downtown area without needing to find parking. The whole place was really clean, plenty of room for 2 people, and it was a bonus to have coffee and fixings available if you didn’t want to go out for your first cup. My only issue was the description said there was a washer/ dryer shared with the main house, and turns out they don’t. They were very quick to respond when I reached out asking about that, and were very helpful in telling me where laundromats were. I would definitely stay there again. It’s a great place for couples wanting to explore Paso Robles.

Perfect home to stay at while visiting wine country for a couple of days. Clean and centrally located to everywhere we wanted to go.

Perfect getaway place for a couple. We could walk all over downtown Paso. It was small but very nicely supplied with thoughtful finishes. If we plan another trip to Paso we will stay here again.

The property was cozy, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit.However, there were a couple of challenges worth mentioning. The skylights located directly above the bed and in the kitchen let in a significant amount of early morning light, making it difficult to sleep in past sunrise. While the natural light is nice during the day, it might be helpful to have a way to cover the skylights for guests who prefer to rest in.Additionally, we experienced difficulty accessing the property upon arrival. The door code provided was incorrect, and it took about 30 minutes before we could get in. Unfortunately, no one initially answered the office phone or after-hours line, and messages through Facebook went unanswered for a while. When we finally reached someone, we were told it was due to a computer glitch.This has happened before with Paso Vacation Rentals, so it may be worth reviewing their check-in and support process. Having a dedicated emergency line for guests who have already checked in or are trying to access their rental would make a big difference.Overall, the home itself was very nice and well-maintained, but the check-in process and early morning light were the main drawbacks.

A very clean small cottage. Quiet neighborhood, comfortable bed and pleasant furnishings. The cottage has A/C but not the den. The den that has the couch is super hot. It felt like a sauna room. Unfortunately the doors to open up the den to allow air from outside doesn't have a screen door. We couldn't leave it open, otherwise flys or mosquitoes would enter. And since we couldn't use the den, the square footage of the cottage was even smaller. Also, the foliage outside the pathway entrance needs to be trim. My foot and leg got cut when I passed the plants. Overall, it was a good place.

We had a great weekend stay with our dog in wonderful downtown Paso Robles. Walkable to everything, nice little place. The space is enough for a couple (and their dog) for a couple days.

I really apprecated the heater in the bathroom as it was cold when we were there. Also, I reached out to ask if we could get two extra pillows and everyone was super nice and pillows appeared very quickly. The location was perfect...a quick walk to the square - excpet for going out to hike, we never drove the car!

We had a very comfortable 2-night stay at The Cottage! It is perfect for a couple. The location is wonderful to Downtown and totally walkable although we chose to drive and never had issues parking.The Cottage has all of the amenities you could want. It was very cold upon arrival, but VRBO was very prompt and responsive in having Robert come over within 10 minutes, to check the heating unit (the remote had to be reset). We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Paso Robles!
