Cheerful 2 Bedroom House on the Hill in St. Louis

My family and I came back home to St. Louis to visit friends for the weekend and this house on The Hill was perfect for our stay. The owner was great about sending all of the needed information to check-in. One nice little bonus was a $10 gift card to Park Avenue Coffee that the owner left for us. I love coffee and this gave me a chance to get coffee and some gooey butter cake (a St. Louis specialty). The house is located within very close proximity to wonderful dining options and a grocery store. You can also see The Arch off in the distance as you walk around the neighborhood. The only issue that we had (and it was very minor!) was that the dishwasher was filled with dirty dishes when we arrived. My husband was looking for a dinner plate to microwave some leftovers and he couldn't find one so he used a bowl. After he was finished his meal, he opened the dishwasher to put his bowl in and he found all the dinner plates in there but they were dirty. Again, this was so minor that we didn't even bother the owner with it and we would definitely stay here again.

Very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed and we were able to bring our little dog Corky with us which was great. Parking. was no problem at all. We enjoyed our stay.

This house was in a perfect location, easy parking, and the fenced in yard for our dogs was amazing!

This was a very convenient place to stay for our daughter's wedding at Bevo Mill. The house was the perfect size for the 2 of us and the yard was great for our dog.

Property was just what we needed for a weekend visit with our dog along. The kitchen and bathroom were well equipped with everything we needed. Location was perfect for our needs with easy access to Hwy 44.

Property owner was so kind and welcoming. My children and pets were well accomodated. We came to St. Louis to visit the Arch and experience the city. Property owner was so sweet to leave us a gift card for a local coffee shop. This home was so close to everything that we needed. We felt safe and can't wait to come back!

The home was exactly as pictured and IMMACULATELY CLEAN. Parking was easy and the location was very convenient. Christina was a perfect host; she always responded to our questions immediately and was so helpful. We will definitely book again next time we're in St. Louis!!

Christina is very friendly & attentive. The house is super cute with the perfect side yard for dogs. Lots of great restaurants nearby. We had a great stay!

Positives: Clean and cute! Plenty of drawer and hanging space! Even thought to have extra individually wrapped toothbrushes with toothpaste if needed! It was nice to have the option to let my Mom go inside by the alley using the back door where it was more flat verses walking up the steep stairs in the front!Negatives: Street parking on what we thought was a neighborhood road more of a main drag on the corner of a somewhat busy intersection. There is a small back alley but getting a vehicle in and out safely would be really hard. Also not a true 2 bedroom! The larger bedroom is a dinning room conversion so to get to anywhere else in the house people have to walk through bedroom! Layout if Front door into the living room, through the first bedroom (love the barn doors though) than the kitchen, bathroom, 2nd very small bedroom! It was cute just wished some of those details were in the listing! Lots of food places to eat within a short walk!

We come to town a lot to visit friends, and I don’t think I’ll ever get a hotel in St. Louis again if this property is available. It’s close to everything, clean, and it was amazing having a fenced in yard for the dogs.

Our two dogs loved the yard. And we loved that they were comfortable while we were enjoying our time in the city. Close to many great local food and entertainments spots.

This was a fantastic stay. The host was very accommodating and the house was cozy. We were within walking distance of restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and I would absolutely stay a second time!

What a precious house that was decorated adorably!!! The kitchen was stocked well and we so appreciated the coffee and filters!! The bed was like butter, you just melted into it nightly!! The host was amazing at communicating, which made for a stress free stay!

The house was as cute as can be and Christina was extremely helpful so access to the property and check out was very easy. The property is located withing walking distance to several authentic restaurants and coffee shops. There was even a great neighborhood deli right across the street. The parking in the back and the fenced in yard was an added bonus as well.

What a wonderful, cute little house to stay at while visiting my college daughter in St. Louis! Highly recommend, it was perfect for our needs. And the host is so responsive and wonderful.

The house is comfortable and well equipped. We loved being able to easily walk to the heart of the Hill and being close to other St. Louis attractions. Light and street noise is noticeable but usually not enough to affect sleeping.

There was hair on the wall in the bathroom and the sink stopper was caked in hair where it hasnt been cleaned in a while. The screen on the front door was partially ripped out of the frame. Where the microwave is the wall is messed up and has a hole in it. The thermostat isnt the most user frienly to use. The lock was easy to use and helpful. The host is very responsive. Our small dog was fine in the yard but if there was a larger dog or kids I wouldn't trust the yard. There was some sort of wire fencing with large holes that losely covered the gap between the wooden fence and the gate in the back, and the outdoor steps that goes to the basement door is only blocked off by an old railing that is laid in front of it. And the fence toward the front of the house is shorter than the side so bigger dogs could easily jump out. Overall we still enjoyed our stay, but probably wouldn't stay there again.

Great place to stay at. We really enjoyed our time there!!

The property was clean and the photos were accurate. I'm glad I didn't bring more food because the fridge is apartment size. It was great being able to walk to multiple restaurants. The livingroom furniture and beds were comfortable. The kingsize has plenty of room to walk around, though it is a pass through type of room. The other bedroom literally has room for the bed and a tiny side table. The street to the right is a busy main street, though the noise is minimal in the house. I appreciated the fence and metal posts. If you have pets or kids, be sure to bring bungee cords to keep the gates closed. Also, there was no first-aid kit so be sure to bring, or plan to purchase, anything you might need. The front steps are quite steep, though my mother was able to navigate them.

We had a great weekend getaway staying at this property. The Hill was such a neat area to explore and have a good meal. Nearby Tower Grove Park was full of activities and everyone we met was so friendly! The host Christina was easy to communicate with and we had zero issues during our stay. The house was clean and updated. Loved the front porch sittting area and fenced yard for our pup to run around in. We definitely plan to stay here again next time we’re in St. Louis!

Christina’s home was adorable and well decorated. Things were definitely thought out when renovated. I appreciated the attention to detail and all of the amenities offered. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathroom had all the basics, including q-tips and face pads. While the house is at a busy intersection, it did not bother us at all. The neighborhood is extremely walkable and offers a lot of gems nearby. Christina was also very helpful and communicated quickly. She let us know about the neighborhood and even left us a gift card for a free coffee. I would absolutely stay here again. The only things that may be a concern to some folks is that the front steps are a little steep and the back parking pad can be difficult to park a larger vehicle in. We just worked together to get in/out.

Christina was an amazing host! The property was clean and in a great location. Christina prepared a welcome book which contained a ton of useful information about the area. We really enjoyed our stay, minus the Dbacks dropping 2 games to the Cardinals. If you are doing a baseball trip park near the rightfield parking lots. We avoided most of the stadium traffic and made it back to The Hill in 15 minutes. Overall a great property and perfect location to Budweiser Brewery, The Arch, and Busch Stadium.

We stayed a few days at this property while we had floors refinished at our home. Our stay at this house was easy and well-comunicated. The location was great for access to work and school and we enjoyed a new to us neighborhood for a few days. Fine accommodations and the side yard for our dog was a great bonus.

Came to St. Louis for a few days with my family (kid are 3&8) and this house was perfect for our needs! It was centrally located to most popular attractions and near plenty of food options. The host leaves a great notebook with suggestions for different things. The house itself was clean and great for a family of four. The kids were in the back bedroom and my husband and i stayed in the room with the king bed. One of my favorite things was a two minute walk every morning to a nearby coffee shop - love trying coffee shops in different cities. Highly recommend!

My husband and I spent the week in St Louis at The Hill without our kids, as a time to relax. We loved our stay and the house was as adorable as in the pictures. The host was super fast to respond and so friendly and helpful with great food suggestions. Definitely made our week more special to have such a warm house to come back to. Will definitely visit again!

Clean house with great information on surrounding area

My Bulldogs and I really enjoyed the house. Everything is just great. Awesome remodel job on this darling house. There is traffic and noise, but eventually, it becomes white noise. House was great, host was amazing. 5 star

My boyfriend and I loved our stay this past weekend. While the weather kept us from walking around more, the house is in the Hill Neighborhood and conveniently located by Tower Grove Park and Forest Park. There a tons of places to eat, parking is free and right outside the property, and the house is well maintained, clean, and spacious for two. We plan on returning and reserving this same spot! I definitely recommend!

We were a little concerned about the reviews that said the street was noisy, but we were not bothered by it. The house was exactly as pictured - clean and completed refinished. Street parking was plentiful, and we were 15-20 minutes from all the main STL attractions.The area near the Hill was super cute - we appreciated the binder with the local recommendations, and we loved the coffee shop nearby. If we return to St. Louis, we would definitely stay here again.

Cute little house and dog friendly. We dont recoomend staying there during ice and sniw as street not cleared by the city. definitely dog friendly.

The host was great with communication before, during, after the stay. Very cozy place, worked great for us. Location was great. We were able to walk to one of the great Italian restaurants just a block away. It allowed us to enjoy a few cocktails with no worries. Access to the parking pad in back was tight, but was able to get my mid-sized SUV in. As it turned out there were always plenty of on street spots available too. I’d recommend to anyone who likes a smaller cozy place to stay.

For a house that is 125 years old it’s in great shape! The family an I enjoyed how close EVERYTHING was to this location. It has so much history in the area, and It was really convenient being able to bring our dog with us. The communication with the property manager was amazing as well. The pet fee is NOT listed while trying to book and it states no money back after booking. So in case anyone is looking to book with a pet, there is a pet fee!

Close to everything, all of the Italian spots nearby are amazing!

Location was convenient to everything we wanted to visit in STL. We were traveling with our two-year-old son and two dogs. Everyone was comfortable. House was clean and good communication from the owner. Would stay again if in the STL area.

Check in was easy and Christina was very quick to reply when one of the televisions wasn’t working. This house was in a perfect location within the city. Several restaurants were within walking distance. Cute decor and loved the fenced yard for our pup! We will definitely stay here again next trip to St. Louis!

My husband and I stayed here with our dog while we visited family in town. The place is put together nicely, with a good use of the space. The bedding and furniture is clean and comfortable, and the kitchen is stocked with essentials. The description mentions street noise, which was louder than I expected (although it may not bother you if you’re not a light sleeper). Additionally, we really needed heavier/darker shades on the windows to block the street lights (another issue that may not matter to everyone). This particular street looked a little run down, but we didn’t run into any issues, and if you walk about a block further into The Hill, it feels and looks a little better. We did use the parking pad in the back, which was tight, but we were able to fit our SUV back there, and it felt more secure than leaving the car on the street.

The house was exactly as pictured and clean! Since we live in an apartment at home, our dog LOVED the yard. The parking in the alley was a tight squeeze but we were able to figure out how to get in and out after a couple tries. Loved that the property was so close to the hill as well!
