Charming Surf City Home w/ Elevator: Walk to Beach

The house is very comfortable and clean, the kitchen is fully equipped and the beds and showers are very good. It’s perfect for two families. Walk distance to the beach. The communication with the owners was easy, effective and friendly. We had a great time at this house!

All levels of this beach cabana are easily accessible for people of all ages, we were a party of 9, ages 16-77. The elevator was easy to use and so helpful for my elderly mother who struggles with mobility. The house is decorated beautifully and has everything that you would expect and need for an extended stay. All furniture pieces inside and outside on the decks were comfortable and there was plenty of room for us to spend time together but to also have our own space and privacy too. The location is easy to find and conveniently close to restaurants, shopping and a variety of activities. The public beach access requires you to walk a very short distance, cross a two lane street and is directly on the other side of the street. The access has stairs to climb both up and down to get to the beach. I would recommend this property for any group looking for a beach getaway!

Beautiful, clean, home with comfortable beds and furnishings. Location to the public beach access is a short 1 minute walk away. It was perfect for our family with children without beach buggies and to be able to run back For lunch/children to nap . The house is perfect for families and made our yearly gathering the perfect location and a fun week for all. Located on a cul de sac for the children to scooter down safely also! Highly recommend!!! We can’t wait to go back again!

So we rented this home Aug 5-12,2023. My wife and I were at first not going to travel this summer since we have 2 kids in college this fall and there is a lot going on. But we both agreed that we could use a week at the beach. Kurt’s Cabana! In 2021 we rented this house with another family, whom we have travelled with all over from Maine to Florida This is the only place we have rented twice! This house is Awesome!, price, size, location, furnishings, decorating, amenities this place has it all. House sleeps 10 comfortably, bathrooms, living area, kitchen and Decks are all spacious and provide room to escape when you want to read a book close your eyes or just hide for a bit. We found with 5 of the 6 kids now being adults “ technically” the top deck is the place to be. Lounge chairs, rockers, table that seats 6 etc. Can’t tell you how many hours were spent playing games and sharing stories after the BEACH! So let’s talk the beach. We might just be lucky, but we hit perfect weather. High 80’s low 90’s with only one rain day, which we used to go tour the USS North Carolina Battleship. The rest of the days we had blue/green (key west water). Current was warm, water had 4-6 feet of visibility could see the bottom. The 100 yd walk to beach (2mins) is easy and ramp 27 is marked well. Running out of space, but I will end with I am not a beach person (wife is) but I love this place. We will return! P.S. this is best house on the street!

The house was ideal for 2 families. There are 2 en suites and 2 other bedrooms ideal for kids and multiple families. The main level including kitchen and upstairs deck had everything we needed. The outdoor furniture really sold us on this place! We love to enjoy all the beach has to offer including evening porch sitting enjoying the breeze. The kitchen was well stocked with an abundance of supplies and all beds were comfortable. House was very clean as was outdoor shower. The walk to the beach was short and not too challenging with 3 young children. The house was comfortable and mixes decorated throughout. Plenty of seating for all. Smart tvs in all the rooms so everyone could have a space. Our only negatives were the beach access has stairs which was hard for our wagon of kids stuff, and the outdoor fan remote was missing. Neither of which would stop us from renting again! The owner was quick and response to try to help with anything we needed! One suggestion! Remove the vertical blinds in one of the bedrooms. All others had curtains which did a better job keeping out the light when little ones go to bed early. Add a lock to the inside of the outside shower. With a strong breeze it would blow open while inside showering! We will definitely stay again!

This was our first time vacationing in Surf City, NC. Everything was amazing and exceeded our expectations. The house was even better than the pictures and it was a very short walk to the beach- which made things nice with two 3 year olds. The house had everything we needed plus more and was in a great location. It was very clean and maintained very well. The owners definitely took time when furnishing and decorating this property which gave it a more “homey” feel. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to go back again next year.

This home exceeded our expectations. Everything was gorgeous, from the amazingly stocked kitchen, to all the high end furniture. We will definitely be back!

The house is wonderful! With so few recent reviews, we bypassed it several times during our search but decided to give it a try. It fit our two families perfectly and we had a great time. The bedrooms are well structured as the king and one queen have ensuite bathrooms. The full bunk beds and other queen bedroom have a bathroom where the shower and toilet are located in a separate room from the double sinks. This worked out well for the number of teenage girls with us! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need. the location is great, it's a very quick, easy trip to access the beach. The house decor is very beachy with colors that feel warm and welcoming with lots of outdoor living space. One of our teens had an injured knee so the elevator was very handy for her with all the stairs. We would rent the house again and 100% recommend it. We rented through VRBO so a few things to know that may be helpful to others who do too. Evolve does not check messages sent through the VRBO app timely. The payment and refund information was different between VRBO and Evolve and I wanted to be sure my cc went through ok. They responded to the message generically nearly four weeks later and never responded to my second message with a different question. I called them on the second question and they didn't know the answer but did explain there would be a local guest contact. You get the local guest contact name, phone number, and email once you've paid in full. Texting with the guest contact was great, I received timely responses to all my questions. We've always rented with VRBO properties direct with the owners prior to this and received responses quickly. This process was new to us and were a little hesitant but once we arrived at the house, we were so glad we stayed with this property. It's great and I 100% recommend it! If you are on the fence, book it! You won't regret it.

We were worried about booking a place with few reviews, but this place had everything we were looking for and led to an absolutely wonderful vacation! Honestly, I'm afraid to leave a good review for worries that it'll be a place that's snatched up a year in advance from now on. First off - the beach - pretty much as close to the beach as you can get without being beachfront (3 houses - maybe 50 yards?, 5 min walk), and the walk over the dunes and to the true oceanfront was easy and not long. We were also happily pleased with the crowd both in number of people (not crowded, lots of space) and type (lots of families, friendly people).

We had a wonderful vacation. It was our first time to Topsail Island. The house was great and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. It was only steps to the beach and in a great location.
