Charming House w/ Private Water Access, Kayaks & Bonus Room

The home was ok, but very outdated and really lacked cleanliness, this was the biggest issue for us. Lots of potential, but a long way to go. Surprisingly we had to make our own beds upon arrival, I have never experienced that before. Check in was fine, they just left the front door unlocked. They area of York was fine, short drive to most attractions and restaurants. Due to tide schedule, there are many hours each day where you have no water, so you need to plan if you're going to kayak. They do provide kayaks, which was very nice. Overall, we enjoyed our vacation, but would find another rental next time.

We loved the house . It was spacious enough for the whole family. It was a great retreat from the hustle and bustle of the town. The deck was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the water and the wildlife - especially the birds. The kayaks were a nice bonus too.

We loved being so isolated it was so quiet and peaceful. The kids loved the kayaks, they went up to the wiggly bridge and came back. The kitchen was well stocked. Just about everything was perfect

We loved this house so much! It had such charm and matched the listing exactly. The kitchen was well stocked, the AC worked great, and the large living space made for a comfortable stay with family. Having a toddler with us, we were very happy that the space was easily divided with doors to close off the laundry, living room, and stairs. We also loved how private and quiet the area was and the kids loved going out to the dock in the evening to look for crabs in the water. Since the house is situated in a private wooded area, there were a decent number of spiders about so arachnophobes be warned. However, they didn’t bother us and ultimately our stay will be defined by sunny, cozy memories in this beautiful and comfortable home!

The house is charming and very well equipped. The York River/Salt Pond is gorgeous. Saw and heard lots of sea birds. Wish we were still there. The only problem I had was access to the water. No access from the dock and the ramp was too steep for me to walk on. However, others in my party could use it.

The home was beautiful and just as described in the listing. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the river and there was plenty of room for our large family to spread out. The house was equipped with everything to meet our needs. We cooked 90% of our meals at the house with no issues. The historical sites and beaches nearby did not disappoint. Communication with the property manager was timely and efficient. We would definitely stay again!

Everything about the property was great! The views were spectacular and the old home was well taken care of. We hope to come back!

We had one of the best vacations we ever had in Maine. Kayaking, relaxing and so much space to read and relax. I am so glad we were able to make the memories we did this summer.

We used the home as a base to visit a number of towns further north and it worked well.
