Charming Historic Midtown Home - top rental property in Mobile!

Simply are not enough available characters to describe how wonderful the rental process and stay was with this host at this location! The property is peacefully quiet, safe, conveniently located close to the Loop and Downtown Mobile, AL. I 100% will stay at this property when I visit Alabama again! The host was extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating to our needs. Normally, I’m stressed about lodging when I come back to visit Alabama, but this trip was truly my absolute favorite one because of the experience I had with this host at this rental. I’d like to personally thank the host for making my trip possible and alleviating all of the unnecessary stress. Your check-in and check out process was flawless! The amenities within the home performed performed beautifully, and we were comfortable the entire time. If you’re looking for a place to say in Mobile, do not pass up on this absolute gem!!!! This is absolutely the place to stay!!

I had an excellent stay at this property. The host was very attentive and friendly. The house I stayed in was larger than I expected, with everything I needed to make my extended stay comfortable. I especially appreciated the secluded private parking and easy access. Additionally, the neighborhood felt safe, quiet, and pleasant. The entire experience was perfect. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

I absolutely loved this home and neighborhood! We felt at home and would find ourselves driving around Midtown just to look at the Southern charming homes. This home is a perfect depiction inside and out!!Great location!! Near Yellowhammer Coffee for daily coffee and Mudbugs for a Southern must try when you’re in Mobile for lunch or dinner.

Very cozy quaint home. The house was clean, well appointed and the neighborhood was very quiet and safe. There are a lot of historic old homes in the area. Had a very enjoyable 10 day stay for work.

This house reminded me of my grandmas house. It was very nice. It had everything I needed. It is super cute.The communication was timely and very nice. Loved listening to the records.Thanks for allowing me access to the collection. I had a great time, was so comfortable I was sad to go. It was so conveniently located to the conference center and places to eat. The beds were more comfortable than home. They thought of everything. Would stay again. Wish I had stayed longer.

We love the record player and all the vintage records, the cozy front sitting room and the comfortable couch, the adorable bedrooms with the rocking chair, the handy air conditioning and having a laundry that we could use. The location is very convenient to downtown, shopping, restaurants etc but predominantly because it was so quiet and surrounded by cute character homes and large oak trees.

This property was clean and adorable with thoughtful amenities like body wash and toilet paper. The owner was quick to respond and very helpful. My sister and my niece and I were comfortable and felt safe in the neighborhood. The home is older but updated beautifully.

It rained alot while we were there. Parking in back was a challenge. Small mishap w aged outdoor furniture. Overall good stay

The home is small and cozy, equipped with everything you'd ever need and all the charms of an old house. The location is close to everything and on a quiet street. Check in/out is a breeze.

Thanks for the great stay at the Shadows. Everything you need is provided. Close to everything in the area. Good safe side walks to explore the neighborhood. I would suggest some sort of handle in the bath tub area for safety. A decorative handle could work. It does not need to be intrusive to the decorative theme. The bed in the room closest to the living room was most comfortable for us. We tried both of course. And the first room is more quiet as you can’t hear the ac compressor turning on in the second room.

Catherine's precious home in Mobile was exquisite and absolutely perfect for an extended stay in the city, a quick weekend visit, etc. It was far enough away to feel as secluded and safe as a charming neighborhood can feel, but close enough for all attractions. We were enamored with the efforts to modernize and decorate the home without losing the integrity and utterly unique magic of the historic home... No potential needs were overlooked and communication was top tier level... Catherine went above and beyond.. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Comfortable, Clean, small issue with the back gate, difficult to open, unable to close.

This house was so cute and perfect for our stay during my friends wedding. Perfect location, updated interior of the house. Felt very safe in the neighborhood. The host was very responsive and answered any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you to the host for sharing her home.

The neighborhood was just lovely. We felt at home as soon as we walked in. We enjoyed relaxing in the comfy living room when we weren’t exploring Mobile.

Parking area is excellent; spacious, relatively private. Stepping stones are uneven, only one handrail for the steps, top step into the house is super high, especially for people with balance issues. Shower is EXCELLENT, shower curtain is annoying. Will book again if we return to Mobile!

This is our third stay at this location in Mobile. Lovely neighborhood, great location. Very comfortable with everything you need for your trip. The owners are the best, quick to respond and very helpful.

This was a perfect location to attend my college football game this weekend. This is a very clean house and met all of our needs. Quiet neighborhood with easy access.

Stayed a week in AL and this was our first stop. The home was as expected - clean and tidy. Great space for lounging. The neighborhood was beautiful, and the location couldn't have been better! A short 10–15-minute drive to the USS Alabama and Dauphin Street. The owner was very attentive. We were scheduled to arrive a couple days after Hurricane Helene was supposed to hit land, so we reached out to the owner about our trip and options. She stayed in constant communication with us during this ordeal which was greatly appreciated. Overall, great place to start our trip.
