Charming Designer Home Near Lake Sumter

We enjoyed our stay at Happy Hour and our introduction to The Villages. The house was well stocked and well laid out. The location so close to a pool and rec center was really nice. Loved sitting on the front screened porch listening to the pickleballers. The beds did give us an issue. It was rather like Goldilocks - the king was too soft, the twins were too hard, but the queen was just right. Unfortunately for my husband and I, my sister had the queen.

This was truly a home away from home. The rental was very clean and offers extra pillows, blankets and towels if needed. Warm, colorful decor which is both inviting and has a spacious layout that was easy for my senior parents to enjoy and move about with several areas to relax and reconnect. The home is a stone throw away from a community centre and very easy to get to a supermarket or restaurant when one doesn’t feel like cooking in the fully functioning kitchen. My favorite things was the lanai any time of day and use of a golf cart. I haven’t even mentioned the bbq, table cloths, cloth napkins, complimentary welcome basket full of snacks and some drinks in the fridge.Lots of love has gone into this little gem and we would definitely return when we are in the area again! Thank you for everything.

The home was nice, clean, and in a quiet neighborhood. We loved having the use of the golf cart. The location of the home was convenient. There were several pools, pickleball and tennis courts located nearby, some as close as a block away. It was only a short drive to the rec center(s), and to Sumter Landing for evening entertainment and restaurants. The welcome book on the kitchen counter was very helpful. That being said, we did have a couple of questions during our stay and tried to contact the owner a few times but were unable to get a response. Luckily we were eventually able to figure out the answer to our questions. Also, the property listed a garage, so we assumed we would be able to park in the garage. This was not the case. We were repectful of not using anything in the garage as requested, but it would have been nice to allow guests to borrow the lawn chairs and a small cooler to bring to Sumter Landing to enjoy the entertainment.

Our stay was delightful, we found the home clean, comfortable and well stocked. The house was conveniently located to the Churchhill rec center. About a block away, easy to walk to pool, pickleball courts, corn hole, shuffle board, and Bocchi area. The rec center had exercise and social activities that we were able to participate in and everyone we encountered in the area was very friendly and welcoming. The larger rec center (Laurel Manor) had a full workout gym (extra weekly cost), but wonderful facility. We spent our evenings at Sumter Landing enjoying music and dancing. Communication about upcoming stay, stay and departure was well organized and planned. Provided all the needed details. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely seek this house for future reservations.

Nice house with modern furniture and appliances in a great neighborhood

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We had a girls’ getaway and had the best experience imaginable staying in this tidy, neat and sparkling clean modern new rental. Five of us stayed for 4 days and 3 nights and the quiet electric golf cart provided had bluetooth that made going around to our activities fun and easy. There are numerous activities in the villages to choose from daily , published in their weekly paper and or information offered by friendly staff in the clubhouses. We participated in a healthy number of them and still had the most relaxing stay which I credit to the comforts of this home and short travel time to destinations. I love the lush white towels , quality feel of the linens, support and comfort of the pillows and bed. We are veteran travelers who are still wowed by the small details like free welcome beverages in the fridge and delicious coffee that this home provide. The WiFi is strong for five women’s simultaneous use in keeping touch with families , work , and endless karaoke on the huge smart TV. I appreciate the fun and cheerful vacation home interiors and push button lounging sofa for naps. Some of us staked the screened front porch and or air conditioned sunroom/lanai for privacy and quiet reading. We especially loved the well stocked kitchen where we cooked breakfasts and a late meal, the brand new washer/dryer as we travel light and the blasting AC and ceiling fans for a chill vacation. Speaking for the other 4 detail oriented women in the group , this charming home indeed has everything you need for a comfortable and happy break from one’s own home. ERL 8/10-8/13.2023
