Blanding, Utah
Wifi is installed with best local provider. If it happens to go out, it is not my fault so please do not be upset with me. There is perfect smart phone reception, other than T Mobile which does not work for some phones in most of SE Utah. There is a large monitor & HDMI cord available (what you see in photos is NOT a TV), plus enough free parking for a large boat or motor home at no cost. The wood stove is not an option.
Nestled under Bears Ears view as you turn in the driveway and also a clear view of Blue Mountain from the kitchen window, this charming little cottage, in a country setting has a full kitchen (large fridge and full-size oven) with brand new, modern decor. It is a cozy home filled with lots of original Southwest Art. It is so quiet you can hear the flap of the birds’ wings and see stars forever. (There is no clanging/banging of a hotel, plus TV thru the wall & inconsiderate neighbors.) There is outside seating and a hammock. Bring swim gear for a wonderful, local pool and the local lake is only 10 minutes away. Perfect for 2 or 4, but could squeeze in 7... There are AMAZING tourist sites only one and a half hours away in each direction, with Lake Powell being to the west, Monument Valley 1.5 to the south, Moab and Arches 1.5 to the north and Mesa Verde 1.5 to the east. The local visitor's center usually opens at 10 a.m. and guests have given glowing reports of how helpful they are.

Small little house located off the beaten path. My wife and I stayed there for one night. It is as the description says. An older home. Very rustic. The host is very nice and helpful. Really only sleeps 2 comfortably.
We really liked the decor and the art. There are so many colorful accessories and homey touches. Overall however this cute rustic cottage needs upgrades to make it shine. The bathroom carpeting is not acceptable. There are many rules and notes all over. We were uncomfortable thinking we might do something wrong and neglect something we were supposed do upon check out.
This is a simple cottage but has all that you need. Well kept and clean. It has just the one bedroom and couch in the livingroom, not a lot of room for too many people. It would of been nice to have a TV but having internet and a laptop we were able to watch some movies. The owner was quick to answer questions and assisted with places of interest.
Great hostess. Cute property. Would stay there again!
I rated the stay as only adequate. Would not stay there again.
We had a great time in Blanding. Paula was very attentive and answered any and all questions we have. We misunderstood about tv so don't forget, there is no TV, only a moniter. She helped us out with that too. Place is a little old fashioned but very enjoyable and the sunsets over the mountains are great.
We went to a road trip through the US from Germany and found this little amazing place to have a stop. We found everything we needed and it was very nice to stay at Paulas Property
Only complaint is the listing is misleading. It does not have 2 bedrooms. The listing makes it appear that there are two queen beds AND a sleeper sofa. It has one bedroom with a queen bed and one sleeper sofa in the LR that is queen size. Very disappointed about that. Otherwise, great experience.
My siblings and I met to kick off a trip to nearby National Monuments. The hostess is wonderful and checked in with us several times to see how we were doing. Although the listing says it will sleep 6 , it is really a one bedroom with a pull out couch just to help with planning your trip. Had a wonderful stay.
This cottage resides in an awesome location. Close to many national parks, restaurants, grocery store, but far enough out of town to make it feel remote. We saw rabbits, deer, and wild turkeys (I was tempted to take one home as a souvenir/guest of honor for Thanksgiving LOL). Sunsets from the cottage were spectacular. The nights were filled with endless stars all around us. It was very quiet and peaceful, providing the solitude we were looking for. Kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need to cook a scrumptious meal, just bring your own food to prepare. Paula, our host, was warm and friendly, she made us feel like we were family. Really enjoyed our stay here. A very special place we hope to return to soon…
