Very wonderful place to stay close to everything but also private very clean. Will definitely stay here again.

The cottage was cozy and welcoming, but it could use better cleaning to assure all pet hair from previous tenants is removed. It could also use a new mattress. It had sink holes on each side of the mattress.

Convenient to Gruene Hall. Got their late and left early. Was very comfortable for the quick stay.

Stayed at The Homestead ito celebrate Christmas with family. The Cottage was perfect for two. Such a beautiful location spending mornings on the porch watching a variety of birds and the deer but close to family, restaurants and shoppers!!!

Great place for a couple adults to stay. Nice, large bathroom. Coffee pot and microwave. Very nice grounds to sit outside and enjoy a drink. Easy walk to Gruene. Short stroll to other restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay again!

Great location , walking distance to downtown Gruene and just a few miles to San Marcos and San Antonio. Parking on site was good and right outside the front door. Quiet atmosphere and even had a couple of deer that came by to visit a few times. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed in ‘The Cottage’ for a 2 night stay.. had everything we needed..nice and clean and roomy. The area of the Garrison is very quaint with an old west feel. Right down the street to all things ‘Gruene’, and less than 10 minutes from New Braunfels downtown area. We would stay there again because it is so convenient, but would try another cottage. The bed was very comfy but the sofa was old and worn and not a comfortable place to sit..coffee bar was in the closet, which was nice, but didn’t leave much space for hanging clothes..

We enjoyed our stay here. It’s a cozy cottage, which is exactly as described. Basically this is a studio apartment in the form of a cottage. Huge bathroom with huge walk-in shower and very big bathtub. It was everything we needed.

This was such a cozy place. We were within walking distance to Gruene and all the shops and restaurants.

This was a perfect quick getaway for my husband and I to disconnect for the stress of work and reconnect with each other. The property was so quaint and well kept. Our unit was perfect for our needs. Loved hearing the birds outside in the courtyard. The Texas weather cooperated as well, to give us very pleasant temps. And the crowds were less than normal. Fabulous experience. We will be back in the future. Thank you!

We love coming to Gruene / New Braunfels area!! My husband and I actually stayed at this property 10 years ago when it was a Bed & Breakfast. It is a little different now being a Vrbo rental, but it is still a great property. It is quite, clean, and lots of wildlife. We loved our trip and will definitely rent here again.

We enjoyed our one-night stay. Roomy and comfortable for 2 people. Large bathroom with huge shower. The magnifying mirror in bathroom was a huge plus; I wish all vacation rentals included one! Others mentioned having issues, but we had plenty of hot water. Super convenient to the historic area in Gruene.

The cottage was as advertised. Super easy check in process. Cottage was clean and well-maintained. Very short drive to Gruene Hall. Only complaint is we wish we could have stayed more than one night!

We enjoyed our 1-night stay at the Cottage! Beautiful, well managed facility with rustic charm. Great location in Gruene, TX. We were able to walk to the festivities downtown & still enjoy the country vibes the facility offered. Quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The Garrison in Gruene offers one-night stays so this will be our go to place if we aren't able to stay the entire weekend in Gruene. My only complaint was the shower/bathtub water did not get hot enough.

Spotlessly clean. Listing was 100% on point. Cottage sits on a beautiful property. We arrived right at dusk and were greeted by several deer. Jacuzzi tub was great, but the only negative was not enough hot water. Other than that, this will be our first choice if we come back to the area.

It was a very peaceful and quiet property. The bath is huge and amazing especially after driving a few hours. The bed is very comfy. We had a great time there. I definitely will be back.
