Charming & Beautifully Decorated Home w/BBQ, Golf Cart, & A Bike

The house was clean and the beds very comfortable. The location was excellent.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I would suggest a pegboard on the wall in the hall to hang jackets as there is no coat closet. The main problem is the living room couch and loveseat. They are too low and too soft, and not comfortable at all. The neighbors even said all the renters complain about it. I hope the owners will replace them soon, otherwise I probably wouldn't recommend friends to rent it. The dining set was nice. The golf cart was nice, but small for anyone over 6 ft tall. It is a nice location, very close to the pool. Down-home was very responsive in handling a couple of issues we had.

I mean that literally, because we were evacuating ahead of Hurricane Milton. So not a vacation, and we were stressed out the whole time, but the house is quite nice, comfortable beds, plenty of space, and a large screened back porch. We used the golf cart to go to Publix around the corner. You have to use a special golf cart path to get there, but I appreciated it because we were conserving gas to get back home. My only complaint is that the cost of our 4 day trip doubled at check-out with extra fees including a large cleaning fee, and I was still required to do a lot of cleaning myself as part of check-out (remove bed sheets and linens, run dishwasher, other requirements that didn't apply to us like cleaning the grill). On top of that was a huge deposit in case of damages, so I was extra careful about cleaning because I didn't want to get charged even more. It was more stress on top of an already stressful situation.

The tv in the main room is way too small. The tv control didn't work it was broken, the kitchen lacked essentials. Cleaning supplies such as mop and bucket didn’t exist until I asked for one. Golf car is there but it can’t be used. Too expensive in my opinion

The house is decorated nicely. It was very clean. The location was right down the street from the golf course and the pool. Very nice neighbors on both sides of the home. Our dog loved chasing the fast, little lizards. Liked the keyless entry. The electric cart was fun to use. They do need to refresh some of their cooking utensils and dish towels and cloths.

It was our first trip to The Villages and it did not disappoint. Awesome place, great people, lots to do. We are already planning for next year. The location off the house was absolutely perfect.
