There is no game room or gaming console on-site, but the community amenities and direct lake access provide plenty of built-in entertainment.

Kitchen & Dining

The kitchen is stocked for real cooking - not just reheating. You'll find a full complement of cookware including saucepans, a stockpot, frying pan, baking pans, and mixing bowls, plus small appliances like a coffee maker, blender, crockpot, toaster, and mixer. Tableware is scaled to the guest count, with plates, mugs, juice glasses, and wine glasses included. Grilling utensils are also on hand for use with the outdoor grills. The dishwasher makes cleanup easy after big meals.

Laundry

A full-size washer and dryer are available in the home for your use - ideal for longer stays or post-lake days when you need a fresh set of towels.

Outdoor

Step out to the lower level deck and you'll find a wood-burning fire pit ready for evening use. The propane grill is fueled up and all burners are working. A charcoal park-style grill is also available on the community grounds. Pull up a chair, pour something cold, and watch the lake catch the last light of the day.

Community Amenities

Amber Waters Hideaway sits within a resort community that punches above its weight in lake access. Guests have use of two community swim docks - both with swim ladders. Dock B includes a boat slip with lift (slip 8, 24 x 10 feet) and paddleboards with equipment stored in the cabin. The heated fish house is available year-round. A community boat ramp rounds out a setup that serious lake-goers will genuinely appreciate.

Guest Access:

Check-in is self-guided and simple - With an E lock. For a backup the lockbox is located on the back of the pillar next to the front door on the left-hand side. Note that GPS navigation may not route you correctly to this address - follow the provided arrival instructions carefully. Once inside the resort, drive down the right side of the loop and look for the home set back between the smaller cabins. The unit is labeled 92. Your host is available if you need anything during your stay.

The Neighborhood:

Camdenton puts you right at the heart of it all - Lake of the Ozarks is practically in your backyard, and everything from fine dining to waterpark thrills is within a short drive. Here's what's close:

House was very clean and up to date. The community was not kept up as well as it could be. Needs to be a better way to get to the docks from the house. Also, a 10 digit code is too much to remember. A 4 digit code would be better.

Pros spacious, clean and comfortable. Semi view of the lake, while the property is lakefront, there are large plants and trees blocking the view. PET FRIENDLYCons 10 digit lock code, thats a lot of digits to remember! AC was turned off It was 90 in the house and 90 outside when we arrived. It took til morning to cool down to 73. I actually received an email from Vacasa, but didn't open it til morning, asking if we were ok because the HOUSE indicated HEAT. (WEIRD TO BE SPIED ON) They should've texted or called to make sure we were OK. Light switches need labels, we spent a lot of time clicking switches to turn things on and off. There are a few light bulbs out. The most important, two on the steps going UP...I about broke my toe slamming my foot in the dark stairway at night. The tub is dangerous to get in and out, its not too graceful climbing in and out. thumbs down on carpet in the master bathroom. Queen Mattress is really childlike low in master. A lot of bugs, cobwebs inside and on the deck, front porch. Screening and knocking the webs down regularly on the furniture side would be beneficial to use the deck, as well as a ceiling fan.In all, none of these would deter us from returning to this home. So I rate at 4.5 actually

PROS comfortable, clean and spacious. Directly on the lake. Easy to find. Kitchen was nicely stocked, as we cooked in. PET FRIENDLY. CONS upon arrival, 10 digit code to remember for the door lock. AC was turned off, it was a 90 degree day with high humidity. The house was also 90 degrees. It took until the next morning to feel comfortably cool at 73. I received an email from VACASA, but didn't see it til the day after. A text or call would've been appreciated if you were concerned about our safety, in a hot house (weirdly invasive that you knew this) Light switches need labels, there are soo many switches and they didn't make sense where they are placed. The stair (up) light bulbs are both out, I nearly broke my toe going up, missing a couple steps. Its very dark (dangerous) Not sure how to get in and out of the tub gracefully or without injury. Low childlike queen mattress in Master and carpet in the Master bath (ew) I noticed cobwebs, bugs in the a couple corners. Cleaning co needs to look up. The deck would be nicer screened in...so buggy/cobwebs. A ceiling fan would be nice out there. Just a property note, we weren't sure of the boundaries. The view would be spectacular if they cut the overgrowth down directly in front of the house. The view was spectacular from the top level Master Suite, but no chairs to sit and enjoy it (bed sits too low). Speaking of bed, when we stripped the bed, there was no mattress pad.... One towel per guest? In all, despite the concerns. We would return again. Thanks for a great stay

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time (even with the rain). The house was clean and nicely furnished. The check-in/check-out process with the management company was easy and stress-free. The company messaged with all of the details for accessing the property before we arrived, offered early check-in, and sent a follow up the first day to make sure the property was clean and ready to go. The view was wonderful and we took advantage of the covered decks to hang out and watch it rain on the lake. The house has access to a community boat dock and a fishing dock (neither of which we used, but they seemed really nice). The location was about 20 minutes from Camdenton, so remote enough to be quiet, but not a bad drive from grocery stores and the Bagnell Dam in Osage Beach. I would definitely recommend this property for a nice stay with a beautiful view.
