If you are looking for a charming weekend getaway on Lake Michigan, you can look no further! This two bedroom, 1.5 bath coach house is situated above the garage and is separate from the main house. There is a full sized kitchen, washer/dryer, living room, dining area, and outdoor balcony for grilling or relaxing. The beach is located only 3 houses down and is private access for the 8 houses on our block. This home is conveniently located 10 minutes away from downtown Saint Joseph restaurants,

Stayed Jun 11, 2026The property and carriage house were lovely. We were able to take a short hike to the beach which was breathtaking and a few mile drive to St. Joe took us to a delightful lakeside town. The kitchen was well supplied and rooms were all comfortable and tastefully decorated. The back deck was great for enjoying the early summer weather and the birds!

Stayed Jun 6, 2026My husband and i had a perfect weekend getaway here! We will absolutely be back- we were so charmed by the area, the friendly neighbors, and the beach access. The house was so well decorated, I was very pleased.

Stayed Sep 11, 2025The place, cleanliness, supplies, location, and the host were all excellent. VRBO made an error in not notifying the host of our stay. We arrived late and could not get into the house and had to stay elsewhere. The host handled it all very well. Lesson Learned: Double check with host that all is well!!

Stayed Aug 12, 2025Lovely Coach house. Check in was easy & host was very accommodating to our time line. Very well appointed (except for the missing toaster which host did not realize until we contacted her). We were able to store our bikes inside which was great. Access to the beach was as stated and the beach was beautiful. Convenient to both St Joseph/Benton Harbor and South Haven if you need easier access to the beach. Nice bike trails at Van Buren State Park & KalHaven trail in South Haven. Perfect place for us to celebrate our anniversary get away.

Stayed Aug 6, 2025check in was super easy, plenty of space in the carriage house, kitchen had everything you would need but we didn’t eat in. The walk to the private beach wasn’t bad, but strenuous walking back up the private stairs carrying items. There is a Dollar General close by to get items that weren’t available at the rental or we thought would run out…such as wash cloths, kitchen garbage bags, toilet paper. We visited Silver Beach and ate the delicious pizza at Silver Beach Pizza. The other 2 restaurants that we ate at were in Benton Harbor and would highly recommend—the Brick House and Hill District North Pier and Clementine’s in St. Joseph

Stayed Aug 2, 2025We had a great time at the Lake Michigan coach house. Nice kitchen and bath - comfy beds. The walk down to the beach wasn’t too far (but a lot of stairs) and the beach was great! Would return next time we are in the area!
