Property was great and the owners thought of everything. Instructions were clear and helpful! Didn’t want for a thing, such a lovely space to spend a few days and so close to Litchfield and Bantam shops and restaurants. We loved it!!

This property was lovely. As a former resident in CT, I appreciate the New England charm. The house was pristine. Unfortunately I was in for a memorial and during a snow storm. Jeffrey and his family were so accommodating and so kind to us. I highly recommend this home. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Hosts were very accommodating and are next door. Property is beautiful. The home is spacious, comfortable, extremely clean and well-stocked, and has that wonderful New England charm. Jeff provided reccos for dining and nature that proved to be perfect. We missed the autumn colors by a week or so….so may just have to go back to enjoy that next year

The cottage house had a warm, welcoming vibe to it. It was very well maintained. The grounds were beautiful. The home had everything available that you could possibly want. It was very cozy. We had relatives from Italy with us and they absolutely loved it. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend it. Congratulations to the owners, because they have done a wonderful job with it.

Everything was lovely!

Wonderful stay! The home was very comfortable and well stocked, with plenty of toiletries and supplies so we had everything we needed. Jeff was a fantastic host - friendly helpful and responsive. He even lent us a sled for the hill in the backyard and helped clear snow by our car after a foot of snow fell on our second night. We really enjoyed our time here and can’t wait to visit again.

We had a great 2 night stay here. The host responded quickly to a few questions, and was gracious and friendly while there. The house met our needs, with a bedroom downstairs, and then a large room upstairs that has 3 beds with a lot of room, etc. It was clean and updated in the kitchen and main bathroom. Nice view out the back and a patio for enjoying that. Location was great - out on a beautiful country road, but just a few minutes to town. Would recommend.

We were hoping for a quiet, romantic getaway—and this cottage delivered beautifully. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt right at home. The pictures really do capture the place well. The space is cozy, well cared for, and struck the perfect balance of nostalgic charm and modern comfort. The bathroom tub was an absolute highlight—ideal for unwinding and reconnecting. We also really appreciated the thoughtful guide left by the host, which helped us discover a few local gems we might’ve otherwise missed. This stay was exactly what we needed.

Just a wonderful cottage on a quiet street just outside of charming Bantam. The hosts are lovely and helpful and the cottage is very well equipped. The pool was perfect for the Indian Summer weather as well. I’m sure we will be back.

I rented this charming cottage in Litchfield to celebrate a milestone Birthday, as I love this area of CT. I couldn’t be happier about our experience. The hosts were very welcoming, kind, and helpful. Everything was easily and clearly communicated. Anything we needed they were happy to help with. The cottage was exactly as depicted in the photographs. Absolutely charming. We’re looking forward to planning another visit

Although the description calls it an 1870 cottage it's much more comfortable and well-equipped than that might imply, especially the kitchen which has everything you could want for cooking. We especially loved the pool, hot tub, patio with a grill, and great location with easy access to town. Karen and Jeff were wonderful hosts. Just note the pool/hot tub is shared and there are some hour limitations.

Spacious well appointed comfortable cottage in a great location near anything you could need, quiet and beautiful. Enjoyed a long weekend and can’t wait to return one day. Very thoughtful owners- had snow in April and every morning the path was cleared and sweep for the car was ready and waiting.

Jeffrey’s cottage is perfect for a Litchfield getaway - quiet and peaceful yet within close striking distance to restaurants, shops, etc. The space is well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and communication was a breeze. Our only hope is that next time we’ll be able to stay longer!

Just so lovely. Beautifully decorated, yet very functional. Kitchen is equipped with everything needed, and a Keurig! We were there in February through a cold spell and the heat works great! The owners are very available and all communication was prompt and so friendly. Great location, to downtown and Mohawk Mountain. Thank you for a great stay!

Jeff was an absolutely great host! The cottage was so beautiful inside and out. Everything was there, we didn't need to bring anything with us. Jeff even made sure we had a brush to clean off our cars after a snow storm. We were able to have a cozy fire with wood provided by Jeff. The cottage was so close to everything. I would highly recommended this host and property.

Beautiful home - perfect for our family to stay in over the holidays when there wasn’t enough room At the family home where we were visiting. Just note that although it states 3 bedrooms it is really 2 bedrooms - master on first floor and open space on 2nd floor (no door to the second floor) with 4 beds. It worked for my 3 kids but not sure it would work for ppl looking to have more privacy And separate bedrooms.

We stayed at this lovely New England home for Christmas. We are originally from the area and traveled to spend the holidays with family. We were lucky enough to have a white Christmas and the kids were thrilled, as we now live in NC and don’t get snow often. The hosts were lovely and attentive, even bringing over a couple of sleds for us to use and we had a blast. Would definitely recommend to anyone for this perfect country setting spot, that is also convenient to restaurants and shopping.

Jeff the owner was a pleasure to deal with. The property was immaculate and beautiful, it had everything you could possibly need. My daughter and I locked ourselves out and Jeff came to our rescue.

The hosts and location of the property were excellent. Beds and bedding very comfortable. Main thing to note is that there are not 3 separate bedrooms as listed. There is one bedroom with a queen bed downstairs which is on the same level as the full and half baths. The second floor is one large open space of 3 twin beds and one queen bed. No toilet on second level. This worked out fine for us but could be problematic for anyone expecting 3 truly separate spaces. I do think sofas and chair cushions are due for a replacement. Such a lovely area of the country and property though. Loved proximity to restaurants and bakeries.

We entered and were astonished by the beauty and craftsmanship of the home. The modern kitchen and spectacular bathroom made the stay perfect. So that you know, even the choice of towels and sheets has to be mentioned. The openness of the living room and the many windows captured the property's beauty. The check-in process was flawless. Directions were easy to understand. The owners were friendly and helpful. A Keurig coffee maker is available, but the owner brought over a drip coffeemaker when I mentioned that we preferred it. We stayed there for a weekend to be close to family. We hope to go back for a week's vacation.

Jeff was so responsive throughout the entire process of getting this VRBO. I was able to get ready for my wedding with our small group and it was such an incredibly beautiful place to do it. The property is gorgeous. The cottage is wonderful, well lit, and charming for sure. We will definitely be returning!

Beautifully renovated and charming property. Wonderful landscaping and views, thoughtful architectural details throughout. Great flow. The bedroom portion of the master suite is private, enabling easy access to the large, main bath for families or friends traveling together. 1/2 bath downstairs also nicely designed and accessible. Great light! Upstairs serves as a wonderful bunk room with private niches, window seats, etc

The owners live next door and are very helpful and responsive. The home was immaculately and tastefully appointed.

My wife and I extend our thanks to the gracious hosts, Jeffrey and Karen. Their cottage is even nicer than the pictures convey. Truly a remarkable little house. We enjoyed our time reading in the sunroom and evenings on the back patio. It's close to Arethusa Dairy for ice cream! If you need a place to stay in Litchfield, and this is available, stay here. It's a great spot. This was an anniversary get-away and the quality of the property really made an extended weekend special.
