In the district of Ahornen, in the resort, 100 m from the centre, in a quiet position, excellent location: right in the centre but still quiet, in a cul-de-sac, in the countryside, south facing position. In the house: storage room for skis, central heating system, washing machine. Very steep, narrow motor access to the house. In Winter: please take snow chains. Footpath to the house. Width of access road: 204 cm. Parking (for 2 cars) atthe house, in winter 500 m public car park, extra. Shop 200 m, restaurant, bar 150 m, bakery 200 m, bicycle rental 300 m, bus stop Grindelwalderhof 200 m, railway station Grindelwald Dorf 500 m, outdoor swimming pool 2 km, indoor swimming pool 400 m. Golf course (9 hole) 2.5 km, tennis 2 km, minigolf 150 m, sports centre 400 m, gondola lift 500 m, ski rental 200 m, ski bus stop 150 m, cross country ski track 2 km, children's playground 400 m. Exit to the balcony, south facing position and west facing position. 1 room with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). Open kitchen (oven, dishwasher, 4 ceramic glass hob hotplates, toaster, kettle, electric coffee machine, Capsules for coffee machine (Nespresso) extra, raclette grill, fondue Set (cheese)). Shower/WC. On the lower ground floor: 2 double bedrooms (2 x 90 cm, length 200 cm). Bath/WC. Wooden floors. Large balcony 30 m2, south facing position and west facing position. Marvellous view of the mountains and Eiger. Facilities: washing machine, children's high chair, hair dryer, logs (extra). Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smoking house.     Loved our trip here. Breathtaking views from back patio. Spacious interior with good dining, cooking and hanging out space. We would book this place again for sure. Few quirks we wish we knew beforehand TV doesnt hang in a spot that can be veiwed easily Driveway down to the place is so narrow that a car only passes through with centimeters to spare on each side, followed by a steep hill with a sharp turn. Do not attempt with a larger vehicle. We had a compact Skoda suv and that was probably the biggest that would fit. The biggest shock to me was that the photos make it look like it is in a rural setting. When it is actually just 200 meters off the main road in grinderwald. Bathroom is funky...very large unused space Master bedroom isn't a single bed. It's two smaller beds pushed together...which means there is a wood bar down the middle. Was lame to have to go to an office down the road to get the key.

    We hebben genoten van deze hele mooie en ruime chalet. Prachtig zicht vanop het terras. Mooie slaapkamers, propere badkamer en een keuken met alle toestellen die je nodig kan hebben.

    The appartment was big and in a quite peacefull place it has an amazing view the things I dont like in it is the narrow curvey entrance and the compliations of cleaning and drying the toilets and removing the 6 bed linen before check out i dont know why the visitor have to do all of this since he was charged in advance for the final cleaning!

    Sehr schönes, wohnliches, gut eingerichtetes Chalet. Wunderbare Aussicht von der grosszügigen, süd-ausgerichteten und darum sonnigen Terrasse. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Fussdistanz. Leider ist die Zufahrt sehr steil und schmal. Für grosse Autos ohne 4x4 nicht geeignet.

    The listing was accurately portrayed...clean, breathtaking views off the deck, well stocked with everything needed, great location. We thought the overall value was good. How to handle trash removal could be explained a little better but we figured it out.
