This was our first time staying at this particular house in the lake area. We entered to a sparkling clean home. The manager had kept us up to date with arrival and check in procedures. They periodically checked in with us to make sure everything was OK, including an easy checkout. We are already thinking about next year. We were reimbursed for the state park Beach pass, which was an added bonus. I definitely recommend this home. Our favorite place is the lake.

Check in day we didn't receive the lock box code. Only the door code. Had to call the listing agent for this. Very annoying. There was a poison ivy vine growing.up through the outside steps. My husband removed it, but ended up getting poison on his arm from it. Glad he moved it. Everyone else would have gotten it too.Upon entry of the rental, you can visibly see it was not cleaned properly. We had to purchase cleaning products ourselves & clean the whole rental. The floors were gross. Used about 17 sheets of the wet Swiffer on the floors. Carpets are really dirty. Need a good cleaning or just replace the carpet. The hand rails on the steps were disgusting. They were gray due to dirt, not white. Seemed as though they were never cleaned. We wiped every light switch, door knob, & kitchen drawer in the house. Many plates, cooking bowls, & silverware were dirty inside the cabinet or drawer. Previous renter just put the dirty dishes back in the cabinets. We ended up washing every dish & utensil in the dish washer. We had an ant problem too. Had to use ant spray in one bedroom, the kitchen, living room,& the downstairs laundry room. Thank upstairs bedroom had a problem with the air conditioner. It would not drain the water reserve properly. My husband had to push the unit into the bathroom twice a day to empty the reservoir. We called the listing agent about this. Maintenance didn't come out to the rental for 3 days to fix the issue.FYI: the downstairs bedroom doesn't have AC

We stayed here with our 2 sons and their families, which included a 4 year old, 1 year old and 6 month old. We wanted a place with easy access to beaches, and this place was perfect! We visited Scarborough and Newport beaches and had a great time. The house was spacious and clean, and had enough kitchen supplies to meet our needs. Nice neighborhood and a good-sized back yard were plusses. Everything went smoothly and Carly and Karisa were great hosts. We would stay here again!
