Cat's Cottage Goolwa

I have stayed here before. Comfortable and central, close to work for an early start. Great communication with the owner.

Cottage perfect location for us. Cottage clean and comfortable.

Would definitely book again. Plenty of space. Neat and clean. Air cond/heating worked well. Very quiet.

Great accomodation, great location

cat's suited me perfectly for a two night work trip. Nicely located, everything I needed to prepare some meals and the host Gillian was very responsive and helpful.

The house was overall good. However, some parts of the house quite unclean.

Gorgeous location, we loved staring at the view from the lounge or balcony area. Tidy and clean. Spacious unit with plenty of beds.

Don't read this review if......you want to find a well kept secret. We rebooked while staying here for the following year. A mum with two kids - this was perfect. Comfortable beds, spare blankets, air con upstairs and portable options for cooling downstairs. Glorious to sit on the balcony to watch the river (and some training/races with certain boats). I could watch my children in the playground/park across the road and know they're safe. A great chance for kids to develop some independence in a safe way. Cooking - very well appointed kitchen. Only challenge is the electric oven is not fan forced which is not what I'm used to, but learnt fast. Shower pressure is excellent and nice and hot. Small patio at the back with the washing line to dry bathers, towels etc. We will be back for many years to come!

Nice neat and tidy home with great views

Incredible location, especially for families! Scenic river views from the lounge area, a top tier playground literally across the road, and just a few minutes walk to a great cafe. Overall the property was great value! It is looking a little tired, e.g. main bed upstairs is heavily rusted, but overall the place was clean and tidy and met our family’s needs. Thank you for having us :)

A great place to stay, very clean, simple spacious unit. The view of the lake is great and the small balcony is a great place to sit and contemplate the view. There was everything we required to spent a few days away.

Place was easy to find as it looked exactly like the pictures. Lovely neat and clean place. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again.

Maybe review your kettle. It doesnt pour well. And the couches do need a good clean. Otherwise fabulous

Very tidy property in a great location

The upper level has the kitchen, living room, Master with ensuite and a large balcony with lovely views over the river. The road out front doesn’t have much traffic and there’s a great walking path along the river. The lower level has two bedrooms each with twin beds. Plus full bathroom and laundry.

Property was in prime location in goolwa very clean and very warming place.. will be back to stay again.. loved it

The cottage was in a great location, with a nice view from the balcony.The property could do with some updating, some of the cushions were ripped, the blinds had tears. Pillow's could be updated, and the couch may need a steam clean. Needs a little careEasy to find and process of checking in was great

Accommodation was exactly as described. Beds were comfortable and place was clean. Location was good with a lovely outlook.

We all loved our stay, the view was amazing with a great view to wake up to every day. The no wifi was a blessing and created motivation to get out and about. We hired kayaks for the day

The location is beautiful. The property is slightly old but well kept. Neat and clean. The host was courteous and prompt. Nothing to complain about. Will surely come again.

Ideal for our family get together in Goolwa.Park across the road was entertaining for the children.Great living space upstairs.

The location of this property is perfect.Waterfront views, excellent walking trails right into the heart of Goolwa.The property's bathrooms and kitchen are a little dated, but nevertheless it is very clean, spacious and functional.All amenties are provided for a comfortable stay.We would definitely condider returning.

Location is great with a beautiful view. We think the property is over priced for the following reasons: You had to provide your own sheets and towels, there wasn't even a bath mat provided which made it unsafe coming out of the shower. The doona covers on the single beds are vey thin so I would have been cold if the other bed was occupied. The mattress was very hard and the springs were digging into my side. The blinds also need fixing. There is no WIFI provided which is usually standard with accommodation these days. I think the place needs a little money spent to make it a more comfortable stay and a good clean.

Location is great. 3 rooms 1 queen, 2 rooms with singles. Hint - Remember to take tea towel to dry dishes. Comfortable lovely place - would stay again 😍

Great location and great unit.....will definitely stay again!

The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped. View from the balcony overlooked the river and made it relaxing. There were a few maintenance issues that need to be addressed such as a broken draw in one of the bedrooms and a bulb needed replacing in the Dining room.

Very neat property and easy checkin. Unfortunately the water out the back of the property was hit causing no water for the night but didn’t cause too much of an issue. Very happy with the property and location

Thankyou for allowing us to stay (again) 4th time here and we love the location. Would just love to know if there is wifi at the property; Messaged the host but didn’t hear back (no stress as we managed without it) but would love wifi so we can connect to Netflix. Love the views over the river. X

Wonderful location and had a relaxing stay

Excellent location for us, so close to the golf course. Water pressure upstairs for both shower and sink needs reviewing as the shower did not have a lot of pressure and the taps in the kitchen were the same. We all had showers downstairs and that was much better. Although was enjoyed our stay we would recommend that the beds in the bedrooms are in need of replacing. The sunrise was beautiful from our balcony. Thank you.

Great place to stay overlooking the lake. Will stay again

The house was lovely, we had stayed here before and enjoyed it. We had an issue with the bathroom window upstairs not closing. The first night we were there, it was very windy and we couldn’t close the window as the chain on it was rusty and had seized up, therefore making the door to the bathroom rattle all night. Also the floors were a little dusty. Apart from that everything else was great, very comfy beds, heaps of crockery and cutlery etc in the kitchen. I would stay there again if the need arises.
