Castle In The Pines - 5BR 4bath, 3600 sq ft, 3 levels, best amenities in town!

We stayed here April 15–19 for a men’s retreat, and the property played a huge role in making the entire experience meaningful and memorable. The home was exactly as advertised, clean, spacious, and thoughtfully set up for groups, which made it easy for everyone to relax and connect right away.What really stood out was how comfortable and well equipped everything was. There was plenty of room for both group activities and quiet reflection, and the layout made it ideal for conversations, shared meals, and downtime. It struck a great balance between feeling private, while still being accessible to everything nearby.The host was also excellent, communication was clear and seamless from start to finish, which made planning and settling in completely stress free.Overall, this was more than just a place to stay, it truly helped create an environment where our group could unplug, recharge, and have a meaningful weekend together. We would absolutely recommend it for any group gathering, and would gladly return.

Great house for multiple families! We stayed here with 5 adults and 5 children and everyone loved this house. Lots of bedroom options available and roomy living spaces made our stay so easy. We made meals everyday in the fully stocked kitchen and loved sitting out on the deck.

We visited with 6 adults and 8 children. Plenty of room. The home was clean and well maintained. The kids loved going down to the lake to try fishing and skipping rocks. Location was centered between Sedona and Flagstaff so we were able to explore both areas. Communication was great with quick responses to any questions. We would highly recommend.

Cabin was great. We did run into a slight glitch with the grill. Tank was low but not out and the flame was very weak. It statrted raining and we never tried to replace the tank. View was gorgeous. Highly recommend this cabin for larger gatherings.

This is my second time staying here. Cabin is beautiful, it had everything we needed and more. Very clean and comfortable. Owners are very nice and answer our text right away, great communication. We will definitely stay here again.

We are return renters and we just love this house. Comfortable beds, lots of space, and the Christmas decor was lovely. We will be back for sure!

This home was above and beyond my expectations! Beautiful, comfortable stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. There is a pool table for the adults and video games for the kids. Our stay was perfect.

Perfect location & perfect fit for large groups! This is our third year visting Munds Park over Labor Day weekend and it was hands-down the best property we have stayed at so far. The beautiful house was the perfect fit for our large group of 3 families (6 adults / 7 kids). There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out! Our kids really enjoyed the ping pong table/pool table and the lake which was so close, within walking distance! The kitchen was fully-stocked which made cooking meals a breeze. Everyone really enjoyed sitting outside on the the multiple decks where we ate most of our meals outside in the cool pines. The only minor thing we ran into was the steepness of one of the driveways, some of the younger kids had a hard time walking up/down and older adults. We found that the shorter one was the best one to walk up/down, especially at night. Overall, we had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our stay, wished we could have stayed longer! Kevin was a great host - very responsive and quick to answer all of our questions.

This cabin is comfy and beautiful with plenty of room. The owners were very helpful kind and accommodating. I would recommend this for a family or even a friends trip.

The cabin the was perfect had no problems and the whole family had a blast

It’s hard to find a place that adequately accommodates eight adults and three small children. This place does that very well and when you’re trying to get out of the Phoenix and Las Vegas heat, it’s the perfect escape. The place is clean, with multi levels that provide enough privacy to where you’re not stepping on each other. We would do this again; highly recommend.

Such a great property. Had all the amenities you could think of. Conveniently location with walking distance to the lake. Plenty of space for a family gathering. We stayed for our annual family camping trip and there were 8 adults and 6 kids and it didn’t seem crowded at all. Wish we could have stayed longer. We’ll definitely be back.

We thought this would be a nice, clean, updated, modern cabin by the pictures. We were all very disappointed. We were on a girls hiking trip and we all have pretty high standards of cleanliness and this absolutely did not meet our expectations. The pictures online depict a moderately furnished, updated house. The pictures must be outdated as there is extra furniture than showing, making the home cluttered. The kitchen drawers and cabinets were all packed to the brim with extra mismatched plates, pots etc. The dishes themselves were very dirty. We found ourselves having to wash every item we pulled out for use, ultimately deciding to just go buy paper plates. The linens in the home were old and all the towels mismatched. Several had hair on them from previous guests as did a few of the sheets. The outdoor space was also not cleaned before our stay. It felt like staying at grandmas cluttered cabin. This was our first time using VRBO and we were not impressed. The rental process for this home was also very stringent. NO REFUNDS. Most homes allow for a possibility of a cancellation. They also took a very large security deposit and non-refundable, mandatory insurance payment. Once all paid, I then had to sign a 10 page rental agreement. All in all this home was definitely not worth the time, money or stress of staying in an old cluttered home. I feel VRBO should standardize at MINIMUM, kitchen, lined and bedding requirements. Overall, my guest and I were very underwhelmed.

It was perfect for us! We enjoyed the living area as it accommodated everyone for games, fun, conversations and the decks right off of the living area. Will do it again if we head that way!

We did a Golf weekend in Sedona and stayed in this Beautiful large house, and was the perfect Family getaway, with great hosting service. I Highly Recommend trying this stay, we are excited to be back

We had such a great weekend away with 6 adults and 8 kids. The house had so much space for us to spread out and the kids had a blast (they didn’t even turn on the tv!) The house was clean, well stocked, and the communication with the owners was great. We will be back!

Our hosts made this easy from arrival to departure. The accommodations were clean, house well stocked, and many features that made it a great family Christmas. Beautifully decorated for the holidays. I would highly recommend this host and cabin.

My siblings and I decided to start planning fall retreats to be together and this was our first! We had an incredible time and it was the perfect reset!

The Castle in the Pines had a lot of character. Overall very warm and inviting, perfect for a family vacation. The host was nice and communicates well. They also allowed early check in and late check outs.
