Casper's Hideaway: Dog-Friendly Coastal Home, Patio

This home was perfect for our annual family vacation. We had six adults fit in the space comfortably and with plenty of parking. Home is located directly across from a public beach access, which was extremely ideal! Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need...utensils, coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home in Holden and intend on renting again in the future.

I love the help from the people who put in for window units for AC cause the main unit needed repair parts. Other than that had a great day. Love the place. I will definitely go there again.

overall good stay there were a few small issues but nothing that kept us from enjoying the beach which was just a few steps away.

Great house and location! Perfect for 6-8 people. Beach access directly across the street. Loved the layout and lots of kitchen accessories. AC worked great during a hot week! Very clean and the sheets/towels provided were very above average. Great support from the staff when we had a couple of very minor issues/questions. Overall, fantastic place and stay!

We loved the easy access to the beach and that the house had 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. We were disappointed in the condition of the deck (nails sticking up) and outdoor furniture (broken and rusted). It was also a bit of a challenge shutting the front door as the handle would fall off ?

On the positive side, the location was great. It's a second row house with view of the water and beach access right across the road. Amenities in the kitchen were plentiful. I saw one review that complained about the beds. Our bed was great. One bed was extremely soft but we didn't use that room. My daughter's was fine too. On the negative side, the house needs some updating. The amenities listed in the locked shed were pretty much unusable. The boogie boards and the grill were in very poor shape. Some lights didn't work in the house and none of the clocks were working. This didn't bother us really but if you were counting on it you would be disappointed. We were however disappointed when we got there that the house had not been cleaned and we had to wait an hour an a half past the check-in time after we called for them to clean it. This was the biggest negative. We had other issues with originally booking a different house that became unavailable. I was pleased with Vacasa on this other than the time it took for getting someone from relocation to finally answer the calls from the agents. Every agent we spoke with (there were a lot) was very kind and professional on the phone. This part worked out fine. If proximity to the beach matters a lot to you, this is probably worth it, but next time we visit Holden Beach we will try something else.
